Megalon: The Guardian of Mu
Sadly, Megalon is a fairly lackluster character through and through, as he is not exceptionally quick, deals fairly low damage and also boasts some weak projectiles. His only true claim to fame is his Dual Drill, which deals nice damage although it's very slow and easily blocked. As a side note, the game seems to credit him as the Guardian of Mu, the underwater race from Atragon (1963), instead of the Seatopians.

Moves

Stab (II)

A very quick attack that does little damage, as Megalon quickly raises his drill hand and then punches forward with it. This move can also be performed while ducking.

Drill (Hold II)

Megalon's drill is as the name suggests, where the monster punches with one of his arms as the drill on the end begins to spin rapidly. The player can hold II to have the attack last as long as desired. This move can also be performed while ducking.

Aerial Drill (While jumping, II)

During this attack, Megalon raises his drill hand as it begins to spin over his head. Unfortunately, this move has nearly no range to it because it's pointed directly overhead, although it's perfect versus airborne foes, however few they might be.

Double Kick (While jumping, Down, II)

While in midair, Megalon can perform a double kick move where he swings out both of his feet.

Dual Drill (While jumping, Forward + II)

While airborne, Megalon combines his two drill hands and begins to slowly glide horizontally across the screen while slowly losing altitude. Once started, this attack can not be canceled until Megalon touches the ground.

Lightning Bolt (Up, Back, Forward, II)

Megalon's giant horn begins to glow as it unleashes a lightning bolt in his opponent's direction. The beam can be angled, either down or up, if a desired direction is pressed on the d-pad before being fired. Sadly, in terms of projectiles, this attack deals very little damage.

Napalm Bomb (Down, Forward, II)

Megalon opens its mouth and spits out a napalm bomb, aimed downwards. Upon impact with the ground, the bomb will detonate, causing a small fissure of flames to spread with three small spires of fire appearing on each side of the bomb's impact. It should be noted that the damage from the bomb will not stun opponents, as they can walk through it only receiving damage.

Bite (Down, II)

With his enemy in range, Megalon reaches in and begins to bite at his opponent with his pincer-like jaws as blood begins to splatter.

Dynamite Kick (Forward/Back, II)

With his opponent in his grasp, Megalon rears his foot back and kicks with a tremendous force, sending his foe flying across the screen. This attack has the same effect regardless of if Forward or Back is used.
