Description

This robot was the brain child of Professor Shikishima and was created for "Friend" through force after the Professor's daughter was abducted. The machine was the pivotal part of the prophecy set for 2000, as it directly attacked Japan. The metal creature was met with opposition from the military, yet the virus it expelled quickly killed those in its way and thwarted any efforts to stop it.

While traditional strikes failed, Kenji Endo and a crew of others were underway with their own attempt to bring the robot down. Eventually, Kenji himself manages to latch on and climb into the robot, set to detonate a bomb inside. Through this, he learns that the metal contraption is actually little more than a giant balloon attached to work legs rather than a full-on robot. Sadly, before following through with his bomb plan, a giant explosion wipes out the robot and most of Japan as part of the Bloody New Years prophecy by "Friend".

Description

Part of the prophecy for August 20th, 2017, this second generation of the robot is vastly improved over its 2000 version. Like the first, the robot was designed by Professor Shikishima and is remote controlled by "Friend". Where as the original Giant Robot was the carrier of the virus, that task was now left to two flying UFOs in the 2017 assault. Consequently, on August 20th, the robot was used more or less as a warhorse, trampling buildings and people in its way. Despite this, the metal abomination was still the trump card of the attack as it was equipped with a neutron bomb that had a magnitude of 50 times greater than the blast seen in Japan 17 years earlier. Thankfully, the machine was hijacked by Kenji Endo from inside, who managed to control the robot and crash it into the ground by making it lose its balance. The plan was only a temporary solution, though, as the robot proved able to lift itself off the ground. Before any more damage could be done, "Friend" was assassinated and the neutron bomb was never initiated.
