In the mysterious Café Funiculi Funicula, patrons can partake of a magical cup of coffee (which must be served by stoic waitress Kazu) and travel back in time one time to attempt to deal with their regrets—if they follow a set of strict rules. The most important rule is that they can only visit the past for the duration that it takes their coffee to cool, and if they don't finish their drink before it cools, their life will be forfeited. The story follows several time-travelers dealing with difficult emotional situations such as lost love, the traumas of aging, siblings and dreams, and fears around parenting/childbirth. As the events of each story play out, Kazu finds herself pulled into the drama as well, with her future caught in the balance...
