What do you think has happened ever since the events of Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack?
Will the heart of Godzilla regenerate into a new form? Would Godzilla be possessed by other spirits? Will Mothra, Baragon and Ghidorah be resurrected? Would other Guardian Monsters appear like Gamera, Varan and Anguirus? Would Japan dare to find the Oxygen Destroyer?
Pure fun speculation.

Godzilla respawns, there are no more guardians to oppose him, he purges the earth of all Japanese.
His mission complete, his body bursts into flames and vanishes.

I imagine that it takes years for Godzilla's body to regenerate. During this time, as Godzilla's flesh regrows, some fish eat small bit of it. These sea creatures mutate into giants and monsters, attacking the Japanese fleets and coast first. Then they spread through the Pacific, creating danger to other countries.
The military works to destroy these kaiju, with some success, and they create new weapons to deal with them. But then, Godzilla emerges. No longer possessed, the King of monsters doesn't actively target humans, but does do some damage. However, he is useful In destroying the mutant sea life.

It's possible that given the nature of this particular universe, King Caesar could exist.
