So whats going on in the Showa Era now? This is just pure fun speculation. Discuss!!

I think humanity has completely discovered the home planets of the Xiliens and Kilaaks; and all countries have still agreeded to allow no one on Monsterisland. I think Minilla grew about a foot or two by now

Showa Godzilla Trolls the other denizens of Monsterland when he is bored, has friendly sparing matches with Anguirus, Rodan, and Gorosaurus, and tries to teach Minya how to not be a total screw up. The monsters exist in peace until the sun dies and they go with it, unless humanity decides to spare them and brings them along for their trips across the universe.

King Kong, Ebirah, and Titanosaurus are all presumably dead, Kong never returns, so he might've died after the battle with Godzilla, Ebirah starved to death before he could regrow his claws, and Titanosaurus had a smoking hole in his chest after Godzilla used his ray on him.

Humanity is making friends with much nicer alien races that were formally unknown to them, The Kilaaks are hostile, but any confrontation ends because converted Xilians have bestowed their superior technology to the human race, which finally stops polluting the earth using the Blue-Green device from Zone Fighter.
The Seatopians were dealt with and Megalon is killed sometime between Terror and DAM.

A united Earth government deploys the kaiju as weapons in frequent wars against the now weakened Kilaaks and Xilians, making humanity the dominant power in the solar system. Minilla grows up to look even worse.

The United Nations is now a worldwide democratic government. Seatopia and Latitude Zero are members of the new global state.

The Earth's kaiju are fully repurposed as bioweapons by the UN security council. Roaming on a Monster Island facility (of which there is now more than one) is equivalent to a leave of duty; the mind controlled kaiju now spend most of their time conducting combat drills. All of Earth's resident kaiju are under mind control now, including Megalon, Titanosaurus, the Faro Island Kong, and other surviving prehistoric animals; the only exception is King Ceaser, who can't be manipulated with machines. Minilla has been deliberately exposed to radiation to accelerate his growth into a fully mature member of his species; the Earth now has two Godzillas. They are the vanguard of the Earth Defense Force.

A fleet of Ghoten-class spacecraft patrol the EDF Protected Territories. By this point they've colonized Mars, Ceres, the Jovian moons, and Titan. The Xiliens have vacated the solar system and haven't been seen since 20XX. The Kilaak and Simeons are dead. The Mysterians and Nebulans opened cordial relations with the EDF out of necessity as their dwindling resources have taxed their societies to point of desperation and friendly trade with Earth is their only option. The Garoga remain humanity's only enemy, and skirmishes with their Terror Beasts continue, but are confined to the outer edges of the EDF Protected Territories.

Goro Ibuki's technology has been successfully mass produced. Jet Jaguar type robot drones are a staple of modern warfare. It is also now possibly to equip humans with size altering abilities, as well as shrink kaiju sized objects to portable dimensions. However, organic lifeforms can only survive sizeshifting for short periods of time (like Zone Fighter's limit), so those applications see ittle use. More significantly, shrinking tech makes it possible to build sophisticated nanomachines, condense vast quantities of waste to eliminate the need for landfills, etc. Devices similar to dyno-caps from Dragon Ball are increasingly commonplace, making it possible to store non living things like cars, guns, prefabricated houses and the like in pocket sized containers.

Culturally, the world hasn't changed that much, though churches dedicated to Mothra and Megalon are gaining traction.

I would also say there is a vocal protest movement against the mind control of the monsters and their use of weapons. Surely the EDF could build mechs to fill their role? The EDF counters that this is cheaper, and the kaiju would be fighting amongst themselves anyway.

Possibility: Godzilla, who was already a hero anyway, fights without mind control OR goes rogue and returns to his destructive ways in anger over the mind control of his allies (he becomes immune because of uh, some sort of Showa science reason). Other kaiju may follow once Godzilla defeats them in combat.

In the Showa Tohoverse Interpol is the world government's central intelligence and espionage organization, the domestic counterpart to the Eath Defense Force, designed mainly for hunting aliens.

But we are talking about a generation removed from the events of DAM, where there has probably been peace. People can forget faster than you'd think, and opinions and culture can change very fast with the danger gone.

I still think the question remains of, at the very least, Godzilla, Anguirus and Mothra, since each of them has shown they would seek fights with evil monsters without mind control. If the humans did use it and they were somehow able to escape, they also possibly are intelligent enough to deduce what's happened to them and then be pretty pissed off about it.

The world is seeming more and more like our world now as most monsters are peacefully confined to Monsterland. The defense forces have become ever more efficient with dealing with any new kaiju that appear, either successfully killing them or capture for placement at the island chain facility with minimum damage dealt to urban areas.

The monsters themselves are living their lives peacefully, having a light territorial dispute here or there (especially with any newer additions that want to be top dog). Mothra has most likely gone through a generation or two since the days of the Kilaak war. Minilla is probably an adult by now. The older monsters probably spend most of their time snoozing the days away.

Due to Earth's resilience and the defeat of several invasions, most alien species have decided not to even attempt taking over the Earth. They most likely believe that it is more trouble than it's worth.

Godzilla is much older but still kicks major arse.

Mothra has decided to become the guardian of Earth and transforms into her imago form, she is a great Ally to the people and kaiju. She is relocated to birthday island.

The first Dorats are created from the DNA of the original deceased King Ghidorah that attacked in 1999. They have not been revealed to the public yet.

Minya is a young adult like Junior and lives life peacefully and defends his home occasionally with Manda, Baragon, Varan, and even Gabara!

Futarians arrive with a new King Ghidorah from the get go and plan to wreak havok on Tokyo. On the way they encounter the much older Godzilla and believe that is the one that needs to be killed. Godzilla tosses Ghidorah around and manages to break a Ghidorah jaw and rip a hole in the wings. Age starts to catch up and Godzilla is down! The rest of monster Island joins the fight and manages to drive the three headed terror away! Rodan destroys ALL of the Futurians and Mothra takes down Ghidorah. Ghidorah is reworked into Mecha-King Ghidorah and now Earth is really a force to be reckoned with.

The Shobojin are preparing for the rise of Battra, the reverse, "older brother" if Mothra. Much stronger than Mothra. He is the one who brings destruction in order to bring balance to the planet. After watching humans play God and create monsters like Frankenstein and Dorats, controlling weather and monsters, and many more. Battra decides the time is right for spring cleaning! The enormous black moth defeats Mothra but spares her, Mecha King-Ghidorah, King Ceasar, and even Megalon joins the fray! They defeat Battra and Battra returns to the dephs of Earth, patiently waiting for a better opportunity.
The damage has been done, Battra managed to lay waste to a majority of Japan, however, good did come out of this. Seatopia is now on good terms with the people up top and is working on negotiations and peace with the nebulians and Earthlings.

That's all I got so far.

In case any other monster appear as a threat to mankind, they'll use the technology the Kilaaks used to control the monsters to face the threat. Then, the foreign superpowers will buy off the monsters for defense purposes or declare war. Bombs against bombs, missiles against missiles, and now a new force of destruction that is both unstoppable and powerful: monsters against monsters. Meanwhile, Mothra has hidden away onto Infant Island, seeing that humanity's arrogant and selfish purposes. Both the Shobijin and the natives once again lost faith in the unredeemable state of the human race and decide to not intervene. And then one day, control of the monsters will break, resulting in mankind's sealing its fate. But, that's just my fan thoery.

I'm going to bring in the only two Heisei monsters that can fit in the Showa era.

Second Hedorah: Godzilla travels to Africa to do battle with the second Hedorah however this time his old rival Kong appears. Working together the two Kings finally put down Hedorah once and for all.

Battra: Battra appears and Mothra enters her Imago form in order to combat him. Godzilla arrives on the scene and the two defeat Battra.

Destroyah: The true grand finale of the Showa era. Minya has grown into a full adult by this time and all the monsters around the world join forces. The 10 monsters from monster land all work together combined with Megalon, Kong and Battra. One by one Destroyer kills the monsters till it comes down to Godzilla and Minya against Destroyer. Destroyer is finally killed but Godzilla sacrifices himself. Minya living or dying is up to the audience.
