Re: Discussion: Main Site Updates
^Piggybacking on this, Toho's English title for 太平洋の翼 is "Attack Squadron" (sans exclamation). Here's the on-screen title from the international version:
That's supported by various Toho print materials from the early 1960s, including a poster and the entry from Toho Films 1963 (spoilers in the latter's synopsis).
The site listing also gives "Toho International (1975)" as the film's U.S. distributor (I'm aware that the erroneous title and distributor information is from Galbraith's Toho book). In fact, it had already been in television syndication at that point, however, going back to October '63 or early 1964. Note that this is the same package that The Secret of the Telegian was available in; that film's U.S. release ends with a logo for "Westhampton Film Corporation," so perhaps Desilu just handled the business of syndication itself.
Source: Heffernan, Kevin. Ghouls, Gimmicks, and Gold: Horror Films and the American Movie Business, 1953-1968. Duke University Press, 2004, p. 237.
I've never seen any syndication prints of Attack Squadron and thus cannot comment on the runtime, but at least Toho's international version (dubbed by William Ross with a pre-Frontier Enterprises group) is uncut. It's probably safe to conclude that the U.S. television version was simply the Toho export version, as was the case with Westhampton's syndicated version of Telegian.

Re: Discussion: Main Site Updates
Has anyone looked at, or even noticed, my last post at the end of pg. 4? Anyone at all?
I'd like to think that what I've found out has not been for nothing and that it will be done eventually.
This way, the entire Movies section on this forum will be the best that it can be.

Trying to go from any kwc match to the aliens and sdf section results in a 404.

It may take time. It may take a long time. But I'll be watching occasionally.

The Godzilla anime trilogy doesn't need to be put in Kaiju Movies and Science Fiction Movies after all. I just looked up both of them and they only take live action films.
Just thought you should know.
Thanks again! How's it going so far with the additions and corrections?

Re: Discussion: Main Site Updates
Question: should the title Minya, Son of Godzilla be added to my list? I remember seeing a picture of a film poster with this title on it in a book (I don't know which one, however; it may have been Donald F. Glut's The Dinosaur Scrapbook, but I'm not sure).
Please let me know.
Thanks again!

As I've said many times before, I'm not too computer-literate in many ways.
This is all new to me and any help would be nice. Thank you in advance.

Re: Discussion: Main Site Updates
Shin Godzilla's weapons list should be updated, the film used both Predator and Reaper drones. But it only lists the Predator. Predator has 3 tail fins pointing down while the Reaper has two pointing up and one down. The animated gif below shows both, with a Reaper being blown up first and Predator second.
EDIT: Two stills of the Reaper from the film followed by two stills of the Predator in film since the gif is quick. Also neat little detail, Shin Godzilla's beams are so hot the heated up air alone is melting the Predator before the energy ray hits it.

Since all of the updates that have been happening on all the character bios, I hope they finally complete Yasunori Kato and many of the characters from Tokyo: The Last Megalopolis.
