Alternate Godzilla Apperances

Probably the most distinct feature of this title was inclusion of different looks for Godzilla. The game featured a total of nine alternate appearances for the title character in order to represent the ever changing suits used in the films. To trigger one of these looks, the player simply has to face a particular opponent in the Normal mode of the game. The look of Godzilla typically matches a film that the he and his opponent faced off in, although this isn't always the case with exceptions like Godzilla 1973 for Mechagodzilla.

It should be noted that outside of the matches in Normal mode Godzilla 1989 is used for the Bonus Rounds while Godzilla 1992 is used for Versus mode.
