Varan jumps into the air and spins his body, using his feet to kick those around him.

Fierce Roll (A+B and Swing Down)
Varan curls into a ball and rolls on the ground with his row of spikes extended to strike those in the way.

Fierce Tail Flip (A+B and Swing Up)
The creature does a flip while its tail is extended, allowing it to damage anyone it comes in contact with.

Fierce Glide (A+B and Swing Left/Right)
The monster does a short glide while slashing with its claws.

Oral Beam (Hold C - Requires Energy) [Can't Knockdown]
Varan releases a beam from his mouth.

Concentrated Blast (Tap C - Requires 1 Energy)
Varan unleashes a more focused attack from his mouth, releasing a ball of energy.

Glide (Hold Z while in the air)
Varan will extend his arms and use the flaps of skin to glide around the stage while slowly descending. The monster can still use its attacks while gliding around.

Roll (Grapple Attack)
The creature will throw his opponent to the ground and then leap on their chest as he starts to roll his body, stabbing them with his spikes. This grapple attack is noteworthy due to the fact that Varan throwing his opponent to the ground, in itself, is actually able to remove a health cell. This means that if the opponent's health is low enough, they can be brought to the next health cell and then further injured while Varan uses his spikes to attack.
