This interactive area is split into three different sections.

The first section called "Posters" includes 29 various film posters from all eras of Godzilla movies, plus Rodan (1956) and Mothra (1961).

The second section called "Preview" allows you to view movie clips from three Godzilla movies, including Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992) with four clips; Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991) with six clips; and Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989) with five clips.

The final section called "Preview2" has another small library of movie clips from three more Godzilla movies, including Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995) with seven clips; Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (1994) with five clips; and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993) with six clips.

Museum

An interactive database with a wealth of information of over 30 Toho monsters from the Godzilla universe. Each monster has one holographic picture, some data regarding their origins and movie appearances, various film stills, and at least two or more sound clips.

The Museum is separated into two "floors" - twenty-two monsters are featured on 1F from the Showa series, while thirteen monsters are featured on 2F from the Heisei series. To view a monster, you just click on the white dots on the Museum grid on the right-hand side. Below are the cards and text from them.

Note: Text, including movie titles and spelling, were not changed from how there were represented in Godzilla Movie Studio Tour.

*[first floor]*

NO.1 Godzilla

Debuting in Godzilla (1954), Godzilla is a mutant Godzillasaurus from the Pacific Ocean near the Marshall Islands. Godzilla was the result of radiation from a nuclear H-Bomb test around the islands, which is why Godzilla constantly emits strong dosage of radiation from its body as well as discharges radioactive rays from its mouth.

Godzilla is considered to be the first monster of all monsters that have appeared in Japanese movies.

The word "monster" in Japanese refers to a mysterious beast, which includes imaginary creatures such as gigantic squids and Bigfoot. Before the debut of Godzilla, monsters on screen included King Kong in 1933 and Rhedosaurus in 1958 (the latter is said to have had a great impact on Japanese monster movies including Godzilla, Rodan, or Gamera). These figures are all designed on actual animals. But, Godzilla is a monster from our imagination.

More than forty years have passed since the first Godzilla movie was released, and 22 movies have been released since. The earliest Godzilla had ears, four toes, and the characteristic triangle-shaped eyes. Unlike the newer Godzilla, the four toes are not aligned but rather look as if each were attached to the foot. In Godzilla Raids Again, Godzilla was made lighter than the original to allow for extreme action battle scenes against Anguirus.

After these two movies, Godzilla was put into hiatus for the next 7 years. During this time, TOHO created new monsters, Rodan, Mothra, and Baragon. Seven years later, Godzilla was set to battle with King Kong in a new movie, King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962).

Two years after the battle against King Kong, Godzilla was set to fight against Mothra, Rodan, and the first alien monster, King Ghidorah in Mothra vs. Godzilla and Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster (1964). These movies established a new hero-like image of Godzilla.

From 1965 with War of the Monsters to 1969 with Godzilla's Revenge, new movies were released every two years.

The time from 1970 to 1975 saw the wake of the second Godzilla fad, and in 1971, a new movie, Godzilla vs. Hedorah, premiered. The new monster, "Hedorah," was designed based on the threat of environmental pollution.

After Godzilla vs. Hedorah, one new movie was created every year until 1975. After the second Godzilla fad, there have not been any new movies produced for 9 years.

Eventually, Godzilla was to die in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah in 1995. In this movie, Godzilla's death resulted from self-destruction caused by an internal nuclear reaction.

NO.2 Anguirus

Debuting in Godzilla Raids Again (1955), Anguirus is a descendant of Ankylosaurus which evolved by nuclear experiment. Anguirus has spikes all over its body, which enable it to move about swiftly. Equipped with a back plate of sharp spines, a spiked tail and a crest of powerful horns, Anguirus is an agile and aggressive monster, which is opposite of Godzilla's nature.

Anguirus and Godzilla fought in mortal combat on Iwato Island and in Osaka. During one battle, Osaka Castle was burned down, as was Anguirus when it was struck by Godzilla's atomic ray.

Later, the second generation of Anguirus evolved and starred in Destroy All Monsters (1968), All Monsters Attack (1969), Godzilla vs. Gigan (1972), Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973), and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974).

The sole purpose of casting this monster is to allow Godzilla to stand out more prominently. When the first generation of Anguirus debuted, the impression of a monster was an embodiment of threat. By fighting against another monster like Anguirus, Godzilla appeared even more threatening. However, by the time the second generation of Anguirus debuted, the people sought "heroic" characteristics in monsters. Anguirus reappeared later, this time to enhance Godzilla's heroic characteristics.

NO.3 Rodan

Rodan debuted in Rodan (1956). The egg of Pteranodon which had been frozen in the mine in Mt. Aso in Southern Japan hatched as a result of nuclear testing. Like Anguirus, Rodan is a species of Pteranodon. It damaged the city of Fukuoka with shock waves created by its huge wings. The explosion of Mt. Aso destroyed Rodan.

Eight years later, the second generation Rodan appeared in Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster (1964), in which Rodan appeared as Godzilla's ally. Although Rodan first fought against Godzilla at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Rodan was persuaded by the larval Mothra to join with Godzilla to fight against King Ghidorah. Rodan along with Godzilla and King Ghidorah were later controlled by X Aliens to help them invade the earth in Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965). Also, in Destroy All Monsters (1968), Rodan and other monsters in Monster Land were kept under control by the Kilaaks.

NO.4 Mothra

Mothra, which first appeared in Mothra (1961), is a gigantic moth that is worshipped by villagers on Infant Island.

Unlike Godzilla, Anguirus, or Rodan, Mothra appears more mysterious because of the Twin Midget Beauties. The twins are about 1 foot high and able to communicate with Mothra through telepathy. In one story, the larva Mothra was searching for the kidnapped twins in Tokyo. Spinning a cocoon on Tokyo Tower, Mothra altered its appearance and rescued the twins.

The adult Mothra can fly at high speed and uses strong winds and poison pollen as defensive weapons.

In Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964), Mothra was able to protect its eggs that hatched two caterpillars, which succeeded in encasing Godzilla in a silken cocoon after the adult Mothra was killed by Godzilla. To defend itself, the adult Mothra used an energy beam generated from its antennae, its wings discharge lightning, and uses an energy reflecting pollen.

NO.5 Varan

Varan debuted in Varan, The Unbelievable (1958), a Japanese non-Godzilla movie. Varan is a descendant from the dinosaur family of the Jurassic period. Varan has the ability to fly, using a membrane joining its arms and legs, much in the manner of a flying squirrel.

The first generation Varan was worshipped by local natives as a fierce demon god. Varan hid underwater of Kitakami Lake and it is still unknown what caused it to emerge into the present time.

The second generation appeared in Destroy All Monsters (1968). It was raised in the Monster Land on Ogasawara Islands, but later was directed by the Kilaaks. Varan was fought against King Ghidorah.

NO.6 King Ghidorah

Debuted in Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster (1964) as the first space monster in the Godzilla movies. It has two gigantic wings, three dragon-like heads, and a protective magnetic body casing. The destructive power of the magnetic force beams emitted from the three mouths and the wind shears created by its gigantic wings are devastating enough to destroy the civilization of Venus.

King Ghidorah traveled to the earth in the shape of a meteorite and landed in Kurobe Valley ready to cause mass destruction around the world. Only the combined strength of Godzilla, Rodan and Mothra was able to drive the creature away from the earth.

Since the initial defeat, King Ghidorah had been used as a pawn of several alien races in their plans to conquer the earth. In Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965), it battled with Godzilla and Rodan and was driven back to space again. In Destroy All Monsters (1968), it battled with the earth monsters and was finally killed by Godzilla, Anguirus, Gorosaurus, and Minilla.

NO.7 Ebirah

First appeared in Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (1966). This monster was created on Letchi Island by the heavy water discharge from Red Bamboo nuclear power plant. Ebirah's entire body is covered with a hard shell, which is tough enough to guard against Godzilla's rays. It also has a huge claw on the right arm and a spear on the left, but if they are damaged, the monster has no offensive weapons.

The surrounding ocean around Letchi Island is the territory of Ebirah. Any ships invading its territory are prone to be attacked. However, Red Bamboo manufactures yellow liquid from the Letchi's vegetation, which acts as a repellant to the beast, allowing their ships to come and go. Ebirah is defeated by Godzilla when its claws are torn off.

NO.8 Kamacuras

Debuted in Son of Godzilla (1967). Originally, Kamacuras was a huge jungle mantis about the size of a human from Sollgel Island in the South Pacific. When it was exposed to abnormal weather and radioactivity, which resulted from a failed weather control experiment using intense cosmic rays, the insect mutated to gigantic proportions. Kamacuras' weapons are a spear on its right hand and a hook on its left hand. It is able to fly short distances using the wings on its back. It is assumed that there were many huge jungle mantises on the island; however, only three of them became Kamacuras. These three Kamacuras gathered in the center of the island with the sole purpose of attacking Godzilla's son. But Godzilla came to rescue its son and destroyed all three of the monsters.

NO.9 Kumonga

Kumonga debuted in Son of Godzilla (1967). A gigantic spider from Sollgel Island, Kumonga uses its powerful webbing to capture its prey and feed upon them. Its other main weapon is a toxic sting to kill the enemy after capture.

The first Kumonga confronted Godzilla when Godzilla was trying to protect Minilla on Sollgel Island. Kumonga pretended to be dead to throw Godzilla off guard, and shot the toxic sting directly into Godzilla's right eye. However, Godzilla was able to defeat Kumonga with the help of Minilla's radioactive rays.

NO.10 Minilla

Minilla debuted in Son of Godzilla (1967). Minilla was born on Sollgel Island in the South Pacific Ocean. Minilla is a larva of Godzilla that emits a unique energy wave to summon Godzilla.

Able only to blow radioactive smoke rings, the infant monster is constantly imperiled by the giant insects of Sollgel Island.

In Destroy All Monsters (1968), Minilla was raised in the Monster Land on Ogasawara Islands with Godzilla, and joined Godzilla to fight in the battle against King Ghidorah. Together they destroyed King Ghidorah by attacking its middle neck with the smoke ring. In All Monsters Attack (1969), Minilla appeared in a little boy's dream world as the boy's best friend, and was tormented by the bully monster Gabara.

NO.11 Baragon

Debuted in Frankenstein vs. Baragon (1965). Baragon is a dinosaur species, which survived the Ice Age by living under water. With its dorsal fin and strong claws for digging, it can easily tunnel through the earth with great speed. Its horn emits powerful heat rays to break apart solid rocks and attack foes. Baragon's powerful legs enables the beast to leap several hundred yards to attack its foes.

The first generation Baragon appeared in the Akita oil fields, hunted underwater as well as underground, destroyed the oil fields and lived on humans and animals. Baragon broke its neck and was killed while fighting against Frankenstein on Shirone Mountain.

The second generation Baragon debuted in Destroy All Monsters in 1968. The Kilaaks, who used the monster to build an underground fort, raised it on Ogasawara Island.

NO.12 Manda

Manda first appeared in Atragon (1963) as a monster of guarding divine.

The first generation looked like a golden dragon. Manda fought against the battleship Gohten by squeezing the ship with its snake-like body.

The second generation appeared in Destroy All Monsters (1968). Manda was raised in the Monster Land on the Ogasawara Islands and was later directed by the Kilaaks to attack Tokyo. Not many episodes of Manda have been filmed since then. The second generation Manda lots the original golden dragon image and evolved to look more like a boa constrictor. Manda also appeared in All Monsters Attack in 1969.

NO.13 Gorosaurus

Gorosaurus debuted in King Kong Escapes (1967). It is a descendant of Allosaurus, a carnivorous dinosaur that dwelled from the Jurassic through the Cretaceous periods. Gorosaurus was in hibernation underground of Mondo Island located in the South Java Sea until he was awakened with the rising ground temperature caused by volcanic activities.

Gorosaurus has a powerful tail to kick and knock down foes twice its own size. The first generation of Gorosaurus ended up fighting King Kong on Mondo Island. In this battle, Gorosaurus began to overpower King Kong until King Kong was able to attack the mid-section of Gorosaurus, which is its weak point. King Kong was able to destroy Gorosaurus in the end.

The second generation Gorosaurus appeared in Destroy All Monsters (1968) and All Monsters Attack (1969).

Gorosaurus was raised on the Monster Land on Ogasawara Islands.

NO.14 Gabara

Gabara debuted in All Monsters Attack (1969) as part of a boy's dream. Gabara is a huge radiation-mutated toad that appears as a dream world manifestation of a little boy's real life classmate and tormentor. Gabara was defeated by the boy's imaginary creature, called Minilla which went on to become a heroic monster that helped the boy. By helping Minilla overcome his fear of Gabara, the boy learned to stand up for himself and fight back against his real life bully. Gabara's weapons include poisonous fluid from its horns and powerful electrical charge from its horns to shock its enemies.

NO.15 Hedorah

Debuted in Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971). Hedorah is a monster that represents the effects of environmental pollution. Hedorah is an extraterrestrial organism, which is composed of space minerals called Hedorium that traveled to the earth aboard a meteorite. The organism fused with a pollutant and evolved into a monster.

Hedorah's appearance changed as it grows. Many tadpole-like cells of Hedorah grow in the polluted waters of the Suruga Bay; eventually combining into a huge creature which mutates into a four-legged amphibious form with a body composed of toxic sludge. Later, it evolves into a flying form emitting a sulfuric acid mist, and finally into an upright, land-roving form. It has the ability to equip itself with new weapons as it grows; including Toxic Eye Beam and Acid Sludge Bomb when it is fully-grown.

Humans discovered that Hedorah is weak to dryness and built a huge electric board to fend off the monster. With help from Godzilla's radioactive rays, Hedorah was defeated and broken into millions of pieces.

NO.16 Gigan

Debuted in Godzilla vs. Gigan (1972). Gigan was the first cyborg monster in Godzilla movie history. Teamed with King Ghidorah, Gigan used by Space Hunter Nebula M Aliens to fight against Godzilla and Anguirus. It is unclear how Gigan was born, but it is assumed that Space Hunter Nebula M Aliens built Gigan from a cyborg alien monster. Gigan is equipped with various weapons, including a laser knife on the forehead, deadly heat rays from the mouth, a stomach mounted buzzsaw, and diamond hard claws. It also has the ability to fly through the air powered by using its dorsal fins.

In the fight against Godzilla and Anguirus, Gigan's control unit was destroyed and Gigan was chased away into space together with King Ghidorah.

The second generation of Gigan appeared in Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973). The Seatopians summoned Gigan from Space Hunter Nebula M to team with Megalon to fight against Godzilla and Jet-Jaguar, but Gigan was defeated and driven away into deep space. Several months later in Ryusei-ningen Zone, Gigan was directed by the Garoga Aliens to destroy Zone Fighter. Finally, Gigan was terminated when it was faced with Godzilla and Zone Fighter. However, the secret device implanted in Gigan's hammer hands enabled it to revive.

NO.17 Megalon

Megalon appeared in Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973). Megalon is a monster god of the underwater Kingdom of Seatopia, which was damaged by repeated underground nuclear testing. The Seatopia Kingdom used Megalon to defend itself and take revenge on the surface world.

Megalon used its drill-like arms to maneuver underground. In addition to the powerful drilling arms, Megalon is equipped with laser beams on the horn and a geothermal napalm that is spewed from its mouth.

The Seatopians robbed Jet-Jaguar and occupied its research center to use as a controller for its attack on the surface world. After losing Jet-Jaguar as a controller, Megalon teamed with Gigan to fight Godzilla in a battle to determine the fate of the world.

NO.18 Jet-Jaguar

Debuted in Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973). It is a human-size electronic robot made by the young scientist, Dr. Ibuki. The body is covered with a special alloy and itmoves around with a miniature reactor built inside. It is controlled by a computer in the laboratory and also by supersonic waves in case of emergencies. Its weapons include liquid nitrogen emitted from the mouth and powerful robotic strength. It is equipped with TV cameras built into the eyes and it can also fly by jet power.

In the battle with Megalon, both Megalon and Gigan entrapped Jet-Jaguar. But, with the help of Godzilla, Jet-Jaguar was able to defeat both monsters.

NO.19 Mechagodzilla

Mechagodzilla debuted in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974) as a powerful foe against Godzilla. Mechagodzilla was built in the Earth Invasion base in Okinawa with the sole purpose to defeat Godzilla. Mechagodzilla's entire body is covered with a special space metal called space titanium. Mechagodzilla is equipped with Space Beams mounted on the eyes, Desto-Fire mounted on the nose, missiles that are shot from the mouth, small-arms missiles from the neck, Finger Missiles, Cross Attack Beams on the chest, and High Pressure Homing devices on the toes. It has the ability to detach its tail to attack a foe. Mechagodzilla can repel Godzilla's radioactive blaze using its Defense Neo Barrier.

Mechagodzilla emerged from Mt. Fuji, disguised as Godzilla, and then confronted Anguirus, and defeated it by damaging its mouth. Later, Mechagodzilla fought against Godzilla, and its head device was damaged, which forced it to return to the base for repairs. Eventually, Mechagodzilla confronted King Caesar and Godzilla in Okinawa, and was destroyed by Godzilla.

NO.20 King Caesar

Appeared in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974), Known as the guardian god of the ancient Okinawa people, it is a combination of a lion and a dog. King Caesar rises from a cave at Manzage cliff off the coast of Okinawa to protect the world from Mechagodzilla.

King Caesar moves very swiftly which can easily distract an enemy and can jump over 1,000 yards at a time. Its weapons include a reflective eye beam to catch and shoot back the ray beam at 10 times the initial strength, and its horn can be a very powerful fighting weapon.

During the battle with Mechagodzilla's fierce missile attack pushed King Caesar into a corner, but eventually conquered Mechagodzilla with the help of Godzilla.

NO.21 Mechagodzilla II

Mechagodzilla II debuted in Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975). The Black Hole Aliens who once failed in conquering the earth picked up the dead Mechagodzilla in the ocean of Okinawa, and repaired and improved its weapons at the underground base in Amagi. Improvements include a new more destructive Finger Missile, a Radioactive Blaze Protector attached to the chest and a more reliable control unit. On the head is attacked a Laser Beam Projector.

Mechagodzilla II traveled to Yokosuka with Titanosaurus to destroy the city and attack Godzilla. Godzilla was able to damage Mechagodzilla II's control unit and destroy the monster.

NO.22 Titanosaurus

Titanosaurus debuted in Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975). It is a descendant of a dinosaur, which used to dwell under the sea near the Ogasawara Islands. It has a relatively reserved disposition. Biology doctor Mafune had been researching on the control of animals, found it hiding in the bottom of the ocean, and implanted a controller in its brain. The doctor, who was expelled from the biology society, plotted a revenge to the world by manipulating Titanosaurus at his will by way of a special radio wave. On its forehead an antanna for the device sticks out, which appears sympathetic. The control radio waves are blocked by ultrasonic waves and, having the device implanted in its brain, Titanosaurus would feel substantial pain when the control radio waves are blocked. It has the abilities to blow gust from the caudal fin and a mighty jaw.

Titanosaurus reached Yokosuka along with Mechagodzilla II, then, seeing Godzilla approaching, attacked and buried Godzilla deep underground. However, Titanosaurus had the control radio waves cut out by ultrasonic waves, and while suffering, was attacked by blaze from the reviving Godzilla. The monster was terminated by rolling down a cliff to the ocean.

*[second floor]*

NO.23 Biollante

The first monster plant debuted in Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989). In order to give his daughter eternal life, biogeneticist Dr. Genichiro Shiragami combined her cells with a rose and later added the regenerative properties of Godzilla's cells to create the plant. The resulting hybrid mutated into the monster plant Biollante.

Biollante has a dangerous fang in the center of its bud and the body has a mutating vine-covered texture with a giant red shining bulla in the middle.

The only weapon Biollante has is its numerous predatory vines. Biollante has two types of vines; one type is made of thin vines twisted together and sharply pointed at the end, which wraps around and catches its enemies. It can be used as a defensive wall to protect against enemies. The other types of vines has a mouth with fangs at each end. From the mouth, it can spit deadly acid sap as well as bite enemies with its fangs.

In a mature form, Biollante looks more like a reptile and is much larger than the immature form. The huge reptilian head has a giant mouth that can easily engulf the body of Godzilla. Its unstable cell structure causes the monster to constantly mutate as it absorbs the energy of Godzilla's rays.

NO.24 King Ghidorah (vs. series / 2nd Generation)

It is one of the most famous monsters in Godzilla movies with two gigantic wings, three dragon-like heads, and a protective magnetic body casing.

When people from the 23rd century time-traveled to Lagos Island in 1944 to prevent the birth of Godzilla, they left three Dorats behind. When exposed to the atomic bomb test of 1954, the Dorats united, grew to gigantic proportions, and mutated into King Ghidorah. Controlling King Ghidorah by sound waves, the people of the 23rd century used the creature to devastate the world. In a battle with Godzilla, King Ghidorah's middle head was severed with Godzilla's rays. Mortally wounded, King Ghidorah sank to the bottom of the Sea of Ohkotsk. Two hundred years into the future, King Ghidorah was revived with cybernetic technology to be Mecha-King Ghidorah.

NO.25 Mecha-King Ghidorah

When Godzilla mortally wounded King Ghidorah, time traveler Emi Kano returned to her time period and used 23rd Century cybernetic technology to revive the monster's body.

Mecha-King Ghidorah's intention was to capture and exile Godzilla to another place. To do this, its body is equipped with a special capturing device and mechanical claws. The only other weapon it has is a Triple Plasma Ray Beam, which is generated by the three necks of the monster.

At the bottom of one of the necks is instilled the reformed KIDS time machine. Its two wings are used to accumulate solar energy, but not intended for flying. However, Mecha-King Ghidorah has an anti-gravity device attached to its legs, which enables it to fly. After a fierce battle in Tokyo, the cyborg monster used its capturing device to immobilize Godzilla and carry it out to the sea.

NO.26 Godzillasaurus

Appeared in Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991). Godzillasaurus, the predecessor of Godzilla, is said to be a gentle monster. This dinosaur has some of the same features of Godzilla in the head, claws and tail. Godzillasaurus is a land-based dinosaur, but it is capable of swimming out into the water to catch its prey. Some soldiers that were on Marshall Island in the Pacific Ocean discovered Godzillasaurus. Because of radioactive exposure, it grew to gigantic proportions and became the first generation Godzilla.

NO.27 Mothra (vs. series / 2nd Generation)

Mothra appeared in Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992). In the larval stage, Mothra is not very capable of attacking or defending itself. Its only strategy is biting, dashing, and emitting thread from its mouth.

Compared to the first Mothra, which has 13 joints, the new Mothra has only 11 joints. The only changes in appearance from the first Mothra is in color shade, eyes, and antennae. The larva of the new Mothra is made rather combative. The larva is equipped with ultrasound beams from its antennae, an energy reflecting pollen, lightning discharges from its wings and legs, and the sealing energy that freezes a foe on contact. It is also capable of injecting energy to others through its antennae.

NO.28 Battra

Debuted in Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992). Battra is created by nature to defend the earth against environmental destruction. About twelve thousand years ago, Battra destroyed one race of the aborigines called Cosmos who invented a weather-controlling device. Battra can metamorphasize like Mothra. Battra is covered with sharp thorns and dangerous horns giving it a combatant armor-like look, unlike the gentle, less combatant form of Mothra. Even while in this immature form, Battra maintains a powerful defensive strength as well as an offensive one, and is unfazed by Godzilla's radial rays. In addition to flying, Battra travels by swimming through the ocean and tunneling through the earth. Its weapons include purple prism beams that are shot from its eyes and orange prism beams projected from its horn. Its horn can be used as a weapon to spear its enemies and its mouth has fangs, which enable Battra to bite its enemies.

In a fully-grown adult form, Battra increases its offensive strength and power, but its defensive strength slightly decreases. Even when teamed against Godzilla and Mothra, Battra is able to temporarily hold its position against Godzilla by using its purple prism beams from its eyes as well as its strong horns to attack. He is able to gain energy with its horns from outside forces. Its six unyielding legs release energy and wreak havoc onto an enemy that gets in the way.

NO.29 Mechagodzilla (vs. series / 2nd Generation)

Mechagodzilla, appearing in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993), was revived by Mecha-King Ghidorah which sank into the bottom of the Pacific Ocean after being defeated by Godzilla. G-Force developed Mechagodzilla from Mecha-King Ghidorah through advanced technology. Its appearance is similar to Godzilla and it is built to directly threaten and challenge Godzilla.

Mechagodzilla is equipped with two laser cannons mounted on the eyes, a Mega-Buster on the mouth, two Paralyzing Missile Launchers on the shoulders, Shock Anchor on the arms, and a Plasma Grenade attached to the torso. The Plasma Grenade is the most powerful weapon, which Mechagodzilla used, in its first battle against Godzilla in Suzuka Mountain.

This weapon allows Mechagodzilla to absorb Godzilla's heat ray by altering it to plasma energy through mirrors coated with artificial diamonds on the body. It then enhances its power and fires it back. Mechagodzilla succeeds in protecting itself from radioactive rays using this device. The only weak point of this weapon is that the system has to be cooled down to accumulate energy.

Later, Super Mechagodzilla, which is a combination of Garuda and Mechagodzilla, is built to attack Godzilla. Super Mechagodzilla improves on Mechagodzilla and is equipped with G-Crusher, which is used to destroy Godzilla by sending high voltage electric current to paralyze the lower body. With this mighty weapon, Super Mechagodzilla came close to destroying Godzilla.

NO.30 BabyGodzilla

Debuted as Godzillasaurus' baby in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993). BabyGodzilla evolved from an egg found on Adonoa Island in the Bering Sea.

At first, the egg is thought to be that of Pteranodon since it was found next to Pteranodon fossil. Miki Saegusa and her crew analyzed the power generated from the egg and discovered it played an ancient song. When the music generated from the egg stopped, BabyGodzilla was born. The music had a side effect of accelerating BabyGodzilla's growth.

The color of its body is blue with brown stripes running from the head to the back. BabyGodzilla is very gentle and friendly. When it feels it's in danger, BabyGodzilla's eyes gleam red to call his brothers for help.

BabyGodzilla has a nerve joint located in its hips. It is believed that Stegosaurus and other dinosaurs also had a similar nerve joint. The nerve fosters quick reflexive motion to allow the body to move swiftly.

NO.31 Rodan (vs. series / 2nd Generation)

The second generation Rodan appeared in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993). As a species of Pteranodon born on Adonoa Island in the Bering Sea, the dinosaur mutated into Rodan from exposure to nuclear waste sites on the island.

Rodan's weapons include a shock wave generated by ultrasound flight and a beak powerful enough to pierce Godzilla's thick skin. However, it lacks destructive power and is eventually defeated by Godzilla in a battle on Adonoa Island. Mutating further, Rodan revives as Fire Rodan capable of emitting an atomic heat ray of its own.

NO.32 SpaceGodzilla

G-cells floating through space entered a black hole where they absorbed cosmic energy and combined with a crystalline life form to create SpaceGodzilla, which debuted in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (1994). Emerging from a white hole, SpaceGodzilla embarked on a campaign of terror throughout the galaxy, destroying all in its path.

As an alien monster, SpaceGodzilla has capabilities quite different from those of earth monsters. The biggest difference is the ability to control gravity medium particles, graviton and photon, with which SpaceGodzilla is able to apply various offensive and defensive tactics. Also, with a crystalline life form covering its body to control gravity, SpaceGodzilla is able to fly throughout the galaxy at incredible speed.

Cosmic energy is absorbed through crystalline daggers on both shoulders. These daggers manage all energy controls so if damaged, they cause SpaceGodzilla to lose energy.

SpaceGodzilla has at least seven types of weapons, like Corona Beam, Gravity Tornado, Space Claws, Tail Smasher, Homing Ghost, and Barrier Photon Reactive Shield.

NO.33 Moguera

Moguera was created as the next generation of super robots built after the destruction of Mechagodzilla. Moguera appeared in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (1994).

Moguera stands for Mobile Operation G-Force Expert Robot Aerial type. As an aerial robot, Moguera has the ability to fly in space by its jet rocket engines and it has a wide range of mobility. It is capable of moving and attacking underground by splitting into two vehicles, the Land Moguera and Star Falcon. The Land Moguera is equipped with a powerful drill, which enables Moguera to move and attack underground. The Star Falcon has the ability to take flight for attacks by air. Its body surface is coated with artificial diamonds. All its weapons, including the eye mounted Plasma Lasers, Spiral Grenade Missiles fired from the arms, and Plasma Mazer cannon, are improvements over Mechagodzilla. In addition, Moguera can use the Crusher Drill on its head and a caterpillar on the chest to attack a foe in close range.

Though surpassing Mechagodzilla's technology, SpaceGodzilla defeated Moguera in a battle. Later, a new Moguera-SRF is built to take revenge against SpaceGodzilla. The new Moguera looks the same, but the saw-shaped radar dorm on the back is equipped with the jamming system MECM, which interferes with electromagnetic waves. The complex sensor is attached on the head of Moguera.

With most advanced Spiral Grenade Missile developed by applying the G-Crusher technology used to build Super Mechagodzilla, Moguera can drill into a foe.

NO.34 LittleGodzilla / Godzilla Junior

LittleGodzilla was discovered on Birth Island in the South Pacific Ocean, has greenish skin color and is very curious about everything. In one event, LittleGodzilla came too close to a crystal ball that was sent to the earth by SpaceGodzilla and was trapped inside. LittleGodzilla is equipped with a flashing red eye to signal Godzilla for help.

LittleGodzilla does not have any special weapons, so when an enemy attacks it, it must either run away or signal Godzilla for help.

In Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995), LittleGodzilla is exposed to a nuclear fission reaction on Birth Island and grew rapidly to become Godzilla Junior. Its body color remains green, but its face becomes more similar to Godzilla. Like Godzilla, Godzilla Junior can emit radioactive heat rays from its mouth.

NO.35 Destoroyah

Appeared in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995). Destoroyah is capable of changing into 3 different forms like Hedorah. The original form of this monster was a microorganism, which inhabited the Precambrian era where oxygen was not yet found on the earth. Destoroyah absorbs carbon dioxide from the air and emits microoxygen. The monster evolves rapidly by using the genetic code found on its prey.

In an immature form, its figure is like a horseshoe crab and it lives underground. As it matures, the form takes on a shellfish-like appearance with numerous legs with which it moves above ground. In this form, Destoroyah is capable of emitting a microoxygen ray from its mouth.

Eventually, Destoroyah absorbed the life energy of Godzilla Junior and the energy from an explosion at Shinagawa power plant, which caused it to evolve into a bigger form. This is the mature adult form and is completely different in appearance from the younger ones. The entire body is covered with a hard shell as before, but its stance is on two legs standing upright. It is capable of flying with four giant wings and can also fire more deadly rays.

Skywalk

When clicked, the Skywalk takes you on a literal roller coaster tour, enabling you to view more areas of Godzilla Movie Studio more closely, such as the Mothra Larva model leaning against the Tokyo Tower and the large Godzilla model behind the Theater.

Jinjya

Exclusive to the Japanese version of the game, this area is a Godzilla shrine where you can offer an in-game coin and pray that your movie will be a big success. Godzilla Kannushi will then appear in a flash of light, revealing your fortune. You can then print out your fortune, if desired.

There are a total of five different fortunes: small blessing (小吉), future blessing (末吉), middle blessing (中吉), great blessing (大吉), and misfortune (凶).

The in-game currency is infinite, so you can continually redo your fortune by clicking the "fortune slip" (おみくじ) sign as much as you want.

Note: This shrine-themed area is actually present in the code of the US release, but none of the signs or fortunes were translated.
