Godzilla on Monster Island - Monster Island Bonus

Triggering the Bonus Stage

If three Monster Island slots land anywhere on the reels, the Monster Island bonus will be activated. The only exception is when five Progression slots appear simultaneously, as they will take precedence and override the bonus.

As shown below, the Monster Island slots do not need to be adjacent. They simply need to appear together on the reels, which is more challenging than it seems since they can only land on the middle three reels. Once they do, a button will appear on the screen, which the player can press using the touchscreen to trigger the bonus. [Site owner's wife is shown using the touchscreen below.]

Triggering the Bonus Stage

This will launch the Godzilla vs. the City bonus game, which will determine the subsequent bonuses as well.

Godzilla vs. the City

The initial bonus game sees Godzilla lay siege to a city.

Godzilla vs. the City

Players can move the King of the Monsters using the arrow controls that will appear on the screen. After a direction is chosen, Godzilla will decimate the structure in that direction and advance.

Triggering the Bonus Stage

For each set of destroyed buildings, players can win between 20 to 30 credits multiplied by their bet. One set of destroyed buildings might also grant an additional bonus of 150 to 1000 credits multiplied by the bet or a multiplier of X2, X3, or X4. If a multiplier is awarded, the credit value for the current and next set of destroyed buildings, as well as any values from the Godzilla vs. the Military or Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla bonus stages, will be multiplied by the multiplier.

The final set of destroyed buildings will trigger either the Godzilla vs. the Military or Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla bonus stages, but will not award any credits or multipliers.

Godzilla vs. the Military

One of two possible subsequent bonus stages. This one sees Godzilla do battle with military forces.

Godzilla vs. the Military

To start, this game features Godzilla battling tanks, although occasionally rocket launchers also appear in this mode. Players can use the touchscreen to drag an "orb," which controls the direction of Godzilla's ray attack. [The site owner's wife is shown ruthlessly destroying the tanks below.]

Godzilla vs. the Military

Each tank destroyed grants a credit value multiplied by the bet multiplier and may trigger an "award all event." This event wins the total credit value of the remaining tanks in that wave, provides one extra pick, and moves the player to the next wave.

Tank values are multiplied by the multiplier from the Godzilla vs. the City bonus game, if it has been awarded. Below is a chart with the tank value range per wave:

Wave Tank Values
1 10 to 50 credits
2 25 to 75 credits
3 40 to 100 credits
4 60 to 250 credits
5 100 to 300 credits

In the event the player completes all five tank waves, they will go to a "Victory Pick" mode. This sees Godzilla battle a group of helicopters.

Victory Pick

Godzilla gets to destroy one helicopter in this mode, that will award 100 to 10,000 credits, along with applied to any multipliers that are present.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla

The other potential follow up bonus stage sees Godzilla do battle with Kiryu, referred to as Mechagodzilla.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla

In this bonus game, free games are played until one monster emerges victorious. These free games are played on all 40 lines of both game positions. During this mode, additional free games cannot be triggered for the main game. Bonus wins are multiplied by the multiplier from the Godzilla vs. the City bonus game. It's important to note that Mothra does not appear in this mode. Additionally, there are unique slots for each monster based on their positions, with position 1 representing Godzilla and position 2 representing Kiryu.

The unique slots for position 1 versus position 2 are listed below.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla

In terms of credits, they give:

Godzilla Heat Ray/Kiryu Hyper Maser: 250 credits for 5 of a kind, 50 for 4 of a kind, 20 for 3 of a kind
Godzilla Tail/Kiryu Maser Cannon: 150 credits for 5 of a kind, 30 for 4 of a kind, 15 for 3 of a kind
Godzilla Claw/Kiryu Drill: 75 credits for 5 of a kind, 20 for 4 of a kind, 10 for 3 of a kind

In addition there are radioactive, nuclear, energy, lightning and fire symbols. These are mostly filler as they only give 5 credits if you match 5 of a kind. Refineries and nuclear power plants also appear, giving 10 credits for 5 of a kind.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla

The winner of the bonus game is determined by which monster runs out of health first, based on the slot rolls. If a blue attack slot lands in position 1, it reduces Kiryu's health by 1 to 5. If a red attack slot lands in position 2, it decreases Godzilla's health by 1 to 5. These attack slots can only appear in reel five of either position and also act as wild slots, meaning they can substitutes for all symbols.

If Godzilla loses all his health in the bonus game, there's a chance to heal him. This is not guaranteed, as a "door" appears and if it contains a "Health Boost" it will restore Godzilla's health by 1 to 10. The "door" only appears once during this mode.

Godzilla can also win this mode if 50 free games are played and both monsters still have health remaining.

If Godzilla wins, a Victory Pick will appear with an orb containing a credit value ranging from 100 to 10,000 credits.
