Godzilla Defense Force - Time Travel and Artifacts [Android/iOS]

Stage Structure

Godzilla Defense Force has players building up military bases and units to defend locations from the Xilien invasion. The game itself is broken up into six locations to defend, which are:

The first area of the game is Tokyo, and sets the structure for most of the areas to follow except for the Moon. This structure is nine waves of normal monsters before a kaiju boss is encountered. This pattern, nine waves and then a boss, continues until after stage 40. At this point a Godzilla will appear, although before then you can fight endless waves of normal monsters until you challenge the King of the Monsters.

This patterns, waves of normal monsters followed by a kaiju and then a Godzilla every 40 stages, continues until the player reaches stage 120. After this the stages repeat, with stage 121 being a repeat of stage 1 and so on, although with monsters and kaiju being much harder. The moon, however, is unlike any of these patterns...

Kaiju Battles

Normal monster waves are endurance matches: eventually the defense forces will win. Kaiju battles, however, are different. These have fixed time limits, either 30 seconds or 40 seconds if fighting Godzilla. If the opponent isn't beaten in the time frame, the player is defeated.

Weak Points
Weak PointsAll kaiju have weak points. These will flash red, allowing the player to tap this area to cause massive damage. The damage value is fixed per monster, unless boosted by an artifact, and will also award the player cash. Weak points only appear once per battle and briefly, vanishing after a few seconds.

Base Destruction
When attacking the player, kaiju can briefly destroy a base. The base will be destroyed for around ten seconds, unless the player holds their finger over the base to repair it faster which will also reward an amount of money based on the DPS. Destroyed bases are not able to produce units, although units already on the battlefield from the base can still fight. A base can not be destroyed if it's the only base remaining.

Defeat
If the player does not defeat the opponent in the allotted time, they are defeated. At this point, several options are available to the player. First is that they can seek revenge, which will re-challenge the opponent and reset the monster's health and weak point status. However, other options are available to help with the battle first. One option is to claim relief supplies by watching an advertisement, which is a bundle of money that is based on the player's DPS. A boost is also available to help with battle. Three boosts are available per kaiju, and require watching an ad to receive. These boosts are:

  • First Boost: Production Speed +25%
  • Second Boost: Base Destruction Immunity
  • Third Boost: Attack +30%

Only one boost can be received per defeat and the effect will last during rematches with the kaiju until the enemy is beaten.
