Godzilla Battle Line - Co-Op Battle [Android/iOS/PC]
Expeditions - Units Unavailable in Expeditions - Godziboxes

Expeditions

A gacha element of the game, expeditions contain a random assortment of units along with a fixed amount of G-tokens dependent on your current arena rank. They are acquired through a number of ways, that include:

  • Achievement reward
  • Grade reward
  • 3 normal maps each day from the shop (requires Premium Godzilla Pass and watching ads)
  • Purchasing them in the shop for real money or G-stones
  • Winning a ranked match: expedition queue

As noted, the last method is different as it enters a "queue". This queue requires the player to embark on an expedition, which are found in different time intervals based on what type of expedition map it is. The player can only embark on one expedition at a time, which simply requires a certain amount of real world time to elapse. A total of 7 expeditions can be done per week, or unlimited if on the Premium Godzilla Pass. The player can also spend G-stones to rush the expedition and receive the award immediately. The amount of G-stones required depends on the length left for the expedition, with every five minutes left being 1 G-stone. Players can only have six maps in their queue, or 8 if they purchase the Battle Support Pass. If the player wins a ranked match and they are maxed out they will be rewarded a Godzilla Pass Point, G-tokens or random battle pieces.

In addition, shortcuts can be used to cutdown on the time for an expedition. Three shortcuts appear every 12 hours and can be used to remove an hour of an expedition in return for watching an ad. Note that unused shortcuts expire after 12 hours, so the player can never exceed three pending shortcuts.

Expeditions

There are several different kinds of expedition maps in the game. Below are the types, along with the amount of expedition time required which is only relevant for those awarded from a rank battle victory. Note that the higher the time for the expedition, the larger number of battle pieces that are awarded per unit. The exception are four star units, which always award only one battle piece.

  • Normal Expedition Map
    Battle pieces: Two
    Time: 3 hours
    Unit probability:

  • Rare Expedition Map

    Time: 9 hours
    Unit probability:

    55% 28% 16.50% 0.50%

  • Mysterious Expedition Map

    Time: 12 hours
    Unit probability:

    50% 30.50% 19.00% 0.50%

  • Legendary Expedition Map
    Battle pieces: One
    Time: 24 hours
    Unit probability:
    ★★ ★★★ ★★★★

Note that in addition each expedition also awards a certain amount of G-tokens. This amount varies based on what kind of map it is and also what the player rank was upon receiving the map.

Units Unavailable in Expeditions

Not every unit is currently obtainable through standard expedition maps. Broadly speaking, there are three categories of units that are unavailable from regular expeditions, though some may still appear in special shop offers.

First is the All-Star Battle exclusive category. At present, this consists of a single battle piece that can only be obtained through the Exchange or select shop bundles: the ★★★★ Desghidorah.

Second are the units removed from standard expedition maps with version 5.0.0. While these battle pieces no longer appear in regular expeditions, they can still be purchased through the Daily Shop using G-tokens. All of the units in this category are ★★★★ battle pieces and it covers every non-collab unit of that rarity released before December 2023:

  • Battra (Larva)
  • Biollante (Flower Beast Form)
  • Burning Godzilla 1995
  • Destoroyah (Aggregate Form)

Godziboxes

Added in version 4.6.0, Godziboxes offer players a chance to earn various prizes when opened. These boxes come in different rarities, including normal, rare and highly rare, and can be obtained randomly from either winning or losing a match. However, players are limited to earning a maximum of five Godziboxes per day through regular gameplay. Below is a list of the potential contents for each type of Godzibox, with each box containing one item from its respective list. Worth addressing that while the contents between boxes seems similar, the odds of getting a better prize are increased the rarer the box is. For the fragments found inside, these can be any besides the collab units and those released in the most recent seasons.

Please note that this information is still being collected and may not be fully complete, with some left as an "?" to call out areas that probably need more data.

  • 1 ★★★ Guaranteed Gacha Ticket

On weekdays, players have a chance to earn a special weekday Godzibox, which is obtained in the same way as normal or rare boxes by winning or losing matches. These also count toward the daily limit of five Godziboxes that can be earned through standard gameplay. For the fragments found inside, these will be for battle pieces that are part of the season upgrade selection, although exclude units that debuted during that season. When these were introduced, Godzilla 1989 Wakasa Bay Version was also included even though he wasn't part of the season upgrade selection, but this was likely in error.

Highly Rare Godzibox

Weekday Special Godzibox Possibilities

  • 2 Battle Piece Fragments

Additional Godziboxes can be earned in All-Star mode, either by completing specific achievements or by redeeming EX points. The fragements in this box will be for the current All-Star Battle leader or those that are part of the season upgrade selection, including those just introduced in the same season.

All-Star Godzibox

Toho has also issued out limited time boxes, such as the Summer Godzibox and the Spring Godzibox that feature exclusive Godzilla Battle Memories. Like standard and rare boxes, these limited boxes could usually be earned by either winning or losing matches and would count toward the daily limit of five Godziboxes. A few would be available through a combination of normal play and achievement missions, such as the 5th Anniversary Godzibox which actually had days with multiple achievement missions active at the same time. The big exception, though, is the Winter Godzibox that was given out through daily co-op achievement missions plus for the 2026 New Year Login Bonus (on days 3, 5 and 7) rather than from standard battling.
