Called Godzilla: Great Monster Fray (Gojira: Kaiju Dairanto ゴジラ怪獣大乱闘) in Japan, the game was released around the time Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002) was having its theatrical run. To take advantage of this, the title advertised using the '02 version of Godzilla, although he is not featured in the game, and substituted the Heisei Mechagodzilla for Kiryu, both in the marketing and in the game itself.

Enclosed are scans for the entire booklet of the Japanese version for the Nintendo Gamecube, the only system it was released for in the country. The manual features general safety warnings, but also some production stills from the classic Toho films for the respective monsters as well.
