An alien monster from the deep reaches of outer space, Barugaron began as a space organism before a fateful encounter with the king of the monsters on Earth. Barugaron feasted on the radioactive blood of Godzilla, and was eventually morphed into the creature it is now.
Being vampiric, Barugaron has developed teeth that have the biting force to penetrate the hard skin of any creature. It feasts on the hemoglobin found in blood and uses it as its energy source. After absorbing enough hemoglobin from its prey, it can assimilate this energy, evolving itself and slipping into a powered-up form.
Outside of using its powerful teeth, Barugaron can use its tail and claws in physical combat. It has the ability to spew an acidic gel from its mouth, which acts as a dissolving liquid that can break down even rock. But Barugaron relies primarily on absorbing its foe's hemoglobin to give it an edge in battle. The more it feeds, the stronger it becomes, and the further its body evolves.
Powers / Weapons
Drain Blood
Barugaron's signature attack. The vampire monster bites down on its prey with its powerful teeth, drinking their blood and restoring its health. The attack bypasses the natural defenses of its victim, allowing Barugaron to break the skin or armor of just about any creature.
Acid Gel
A deadly projectile attack. Barugaron leans forward and sprays a stream of burning acidic gel from its mouth, which is strong enough to melt even rock. The dissolving liquid carries the added effect of negating regenerative abilities for a long period of time.
Impervious Teeth
Being vampiric, Barugaron heavily relies on its teeth during combat. Its teeth are so powerful that they can break through the skin or armor of nearly any monster, and aren't known to break themselves.
Physical Mutation
Barugaron exhibits the ability to physically mutate after feasting on the blood of its victim. Its entire body undergoes an evolution, the effect of which varies per monster. The mutation is a very slow process where Barugaron begins to manifest the physical properties of its foe, and is totally dependent on how much hemoglobin Barugaron absorbs. The only exception to this rule is Godzilla, whose blood causes the most dramatic and rapid change in Barugaron's appearance even in smaller quantities.
Blood-Fueled Power-Up
One of Barugaron's secret abilities. After drinking enough blood, Barugaron can convert the absorbed hemoglobin into energy and give itself a boost in strength, making it even more offensively potent. The length of time the power-up lasts depends on how much energy Barugaron has absorbed from its adversary.
Burrowing
Barugaron is capable of advanced digging using its sharp claws, reaching speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour while underground.

An original monster created for Godzilla Trading Battle. Its credited designers are Hurricane Ryu, Hideo Okamoto, and Satoshi Nakai, with design supervisor credit to Koichi Kawakita.
