Description

The life of a monster begins as an Egg. Despite its ordinary appearance, Eggs are capable of both locomotion and holding their own in combat.

Eggs are capable of leaping high into the air and bashing into opponents with their hardened shells. This is their primary form of offense.

Whether struck by atomic rays, scythes, explosions, beams, fists, or any other form of attack, the seemingly indestructible shell of the Egg will hold fast and not crack.

Elasticity

As sturdy as the shell of the Egg is, it also has malleable properties. When jumping, attacked, or exhausted, the shell will mildly morph in shape.


Background and Trivia
  • Its Japanese name literally means "egg" (タマゴ - Tamago).
  • According to the game's official 1998 guidebook Collect Godzilla: Monster Large Collection Pocket Guide (ASIN B0001RBMUY), there's only one type of Egg that monsters can originate from. It is also grouped as part of the "Baby Stage" (ベビー期 - Bebi-ki) alongside Babylla.
  • Is incapable of battling other monsters in the VMU game, instead hatching immediately into Babylla once a button combination is presed when it is on-screen. It appears as a bonus character in Godzilla Generations, being playable in the Multiplayer Battle of Collect Coliseum.

Description

Upon hatching from an Egg, the enigmatic Babylla appears. Depending on how this baby monster is raised will determine which one of nearly three dozen monsters it will eventually evolve into.

Babylla is capable of firing a wide flame from its mouth to attack other monsters and intercept incoming projectiles.

Due to its biological makeup, Babylla is capable of evolving quickly after being born, typically within thirty minutes. Depending on where Babylla is raised will determine whether it turns into one of two monsters, either Littlla or Chibilla.


Background and Trivia
  • One of seven original monsters introduced in Collect Godzilla: Monster Large Collection. While its evolutions may differ depending on the ranch they are raised on, a newborn monster will always start off as an Egg and hatch into Babylla.
  • Its Japanese name is a combination of "baby" (ベビー - Bebi) with the suffix "-ra", likely influenced by the spelling of "Godzilla" (ゴジラ - Gojira).
  • According to the game's official 1998 guidebook Collect Godzilla: Monster Large Collection Pocket Guide (ASIN B0001RBMUY), its subtitle is "Baby Monster" (ベビー怪獣 - Bebi kaiju). It is also grouped as part of the "Baby Stage" (ベビー期 - Bebi-ki) alongside the Egg.
