When the S.H. MonsterArts line was first announced in 2011, SpaceGodzilla was one of the initial releases in the line. It would later have a second release as a special color variation and was part of a set with a re-released LittleGodzilla in 2018. For the 30th anniversary of his titular film, Bandai would re-release the figure along with that of Moguera and both would be P-Bandai releases. Yuji Sakai would oversee the creation of the figure.
Details
The details and painting for the figure are based on how SpaceGodzilla appeared in the night battle in Fukuoka. However, there are two small mistakes with this figure. The teeth on the lower left section in the mouth are not as good as the previous releases, and it’s the same issue with the tail as well. Height-wise, it is an excellent match to the old 1994 Godzilla figure and for those that don’t have the figure, the next best match are the 1989 Godzilla figures.
Articulation
Since this is essentially a re-issue of the S.H. MonsterArts SpaceGodzilla figure, the articulation of the figure is the exact same as the previous releases. As it was one of the initial releases before S.H. MonsterArts began to focus on articulation, the figure is closer to the actual suit in terms of movement. The main points of articulation are the tail, hands and arms, upper chest, legs and feet. There is a small amount of movement in the head and neck.

Two damaged shoulder crystals and two blue Gravity Tornado parts.
Paint
Overall, the paint for the skin has a darker skin tone. Paint for claws is excellent with mostly white and a tint of blue as well. Some dorsal fins have a reddish tint, which usually happens when SpaceGodzilla fires its Corona Beam. Shoulder crystals are also mostly white but with a reddish tint as well.
Overall
While it is very nice to have this figure available after being out of production for so long, the paint issues as well as the overall price are a strike against this release. While the Gravity Tornado parts and the damaged crystals are nice, it probably would have been better to have the Corona Beam instead of the Gravity Tornado parts or even better include the Corona Beam as well. Still, it is worth a grab due to the fact that now it could be bought for an acceptable if at times expensive price.
