Moguera is easily one of my most favorite mechs of the Godzilla series. Oh sure, he doesn't have the fire power of the original Mechagodzilla, but I still say he's much better than that anime reject gimmicked Kiryu. I just love this penguin-bot, I really do. So when the Pack of Destruction was announced and I found out Mr. Moggy was in it, I wasn't anything less than excited. Having just the Trendmasters and Bandai six inch, I was looking forward to increasing my Moguera collection.

Side View

Sadly, though, this figure isn't all that special. In fact, it's mightily inferior to the High Grade Moguera released in Japan. However, it isn't that bad when all is said. Its color is a dull, plainer gray compared to the rather shininess of the High Grade. The blue treads are much paler and the treads that aren't on the legs and feet aren't painted. The eyes are also colored such a pale shade of yellow that it's hard to even tell that they are painted. The paint job here is simply, you guessed it, too pale.

Figure Comparison

However, like his Japanese HG counterpart, this Moguera also has moveable arms. They don't do much besides rotating up and down, but I guess it could be useful for making an GIF image of him doing the monkey. There's nothing wrong with the mold here. It looks like Moguera and works good enough.

I can't say get the set for Moguera, but if you're a fan and want one, but don't want to import one, you can't really go wrong here. It comes with Manda and awesome figures of Destoroyah and its Aggregate form. A nice attempt, but the High Grade Moguera blows it out of the water. I give this an average of 2.5.
