Released by Bandai in August of 2013, this is the King Ghidorah figure that is part of a series of six toys called the "Chibi Figures" line. This toy can be purchased separately, in two packs with another toy or they can all be purchased together as part of the Godzilla Chibi Figures 6-Pack.
This figure is based off the 1991 King Ghidorah design from the Heisei series film Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. It's a nice looking with somewhat of a dull gold paint job. The eyes are quite nice with a nice mix of white, red and black for the pupils. The paint for the tongue is well done with a nice dark pink color. The design is quite good with quite a bit of detail on the figure. The scales are nicely represented and there are even wrinkles in the wing membrane which is a very nice touch.
There is a "cheat" to the figure however. Both the left and right heads are exactly the same mold while the middle head is different due to its mouth being closed. It doesn't in any way detract from the figure however; it's just something that I noticed.
All in all, while it is an excellent figure, I am a little tired of seeing the same representation of King Ghidorah over and over again. I do wish the Showa version would show up in some form down the line.
