A web exclusive figure for sale only on the Tamashi Nations/BlueFin website, Godzilla Junior made his way onto the scene in February. Even though he's the smallest of all the figures in the S.H. MonsterArts line next to Little Godzilla (and can fit in the palm of your hand), he's still a pretty detailed figure for his size.

With Helicopters

In terms of design, Godzilla Junior is identical to his film appearance and he's highly detailed from his scales to his teeth, to the menacing eyes, this is one nice looking figure. In addition, this release is also highly poseable; in fact, I love how many poses he can do. In this regard, he's a solid figure. It IS a nitpick though that he LOOKS articulated if that makes any sense. The head, upper torso and lower torso just look pieced together.

Close-up

On every S.H. MonsterArts box is a disclaimer that says "Color, style, and decoration may vary" and that really rings true with Godzilla Junior. His head is a deep green as opposed to his neck and it's somewhat jarring for lack of a better term. There are dark spots along the body as well which work but with the head, just doesn't mesh. That being said, the color of the eyes, the paint on the teeth and the claws are all done really well here.

For the accessories, Godzilla Junior also comes with two helicopters, each with two types of removable propeller blades. One type of blade is bendable plastic painted to give the illusion that the blades are spinning. The other blades are plastic which you can spin around when you mount them on the helicopter. Two plastic stands are included along with two bendable wires to mount the helicopters on for posing.

Overall, Godzilla Junior I don't feel is a "MUST BUY" and with his small size, he does seem to be over priced but he's a nice addition to the line. My advice would to be to get the bigger, cooler monsters first, then get this little guy.
