Released by Bandai in August of 2013, this is the Godzilla figure that is part of a series of six toys called the "Chibi Figures" line. This toy can be purchased separately, in two packs with another toy or they can all be purchased together as part of the Godzilla Chibi Figures 6-Pack.

Back View

This toy is modeled after the 2004 version of the character from Godzilla: Final Wars and I must say I quite like it. It's ferocious yet friendly. The back plates, claws, and teeth are all a metallic silver and it just adds to the almost retro look of the figure. The color scheme in the eyes is especially nice as well with the mix of yellow, white, and black. The body is a nice dark green and the scales are nicely detailed. Its worth noting, if one looks at the back, the silver paint for the back plates does stop where the tail meets the back and could make some wonder if this was intentional or not. For me, I like it and it's a nice design choice and makes it a little more out of the ordinary.

Side View

If one looks on the back of the box, they'll notice that the face of Godzilla is different in the form of the tongue being wider and more "pinker" than the figure that they'll be purchasing. This is due to a pre-production model being used which, also like the Gigan Chibi figure in the photo, sported some differences with the final product.

Overall, it's a pretty cool figure and one kids 4+ will enjoy for sure and it has just enough charm to earn a soft spot in the hearts of adult Godzilla fans.
