Reijiro Koroku has
led a very diverse life as a composer. His
work on film started in 1979, but his real
break came five years later when he was selected
to score the first movie in the new Heisei
Godzilla series, The
Return of Godzilla (1984), to which
he is still best remembered for today. Koroku
would follow this up with several other Toho
ventures, including the direct-to-video movie Detective
Story (1992). Outside of Toho films,
he has worked on video games, and television
shows, giving the composer an interesting
portfolio of work that spreads across numerous
genres and several mediums. He has also won
the Asia Pacific International Film Festival
Best Music Award. |
