A man
famous for his vast spectrum of voicework, Hank
Azaria's wide reception is easily miniscule compared
to the pop-culture phenomenon of the beloved Simspons characters that have become synoymous with his
name, including Moe the Bartender, Apu, the Comic
Book Store Guy, Chief Wiggim, Snake, Professor
Frink, Disco Stu, and a host of others, from the
well-known to the obscure. In the late 90's, Azaria
signed up, along with a handful of other Simpsons cast members, for the hyped-up (yet-poorly received)
American Godzilla movie. Donning a a voice reminiscent
of a watered-down Moe, Azaria becomes a pseudo-sleezy
(yet big-hearted) minor hero of the film... with
an incredible streak of luck. Unlike Nancy Cartwright,
Azaria hasn't been a stranger to cinema, with
such titles as The Birdcage and Mystery
Men also under his belt; however, another
Toho-related project like the 1998 movie appears
to be a far out possibility at this point.
