Best known for her work in L.A. Confidential, Brena Bakke has
appeared in numerous American television shows. Her career in acting started on the stage at the young age of 15 for the play Years Ago. Deciding that acting was her life calling, she moved to Los Angeles to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. At age 23 she made her movie debut with the film Hardbodies 2.
Her body of work would end up being devoted to small parts on TV shows, including Star
Trek: The Next Generation and The Mentalist.
She did also star in several US motion picture productions, though, including
films such as Hot Shots! Part Deux and Shelter.
However, Bakke starred in only one Japanese
movie during her career, which happened to be
the sci-fi film Gunhed (1989)
where she played the film's heroine: Sergeant
