Background and Trivia
  • The film was submitted to the US copyright office on November 30th, 1999 with the registration number of VA0001014594. This submission was by AD Vision and used the title "Tokyo, the Last Megalopolis". This submission notes that Exe actually registered the movie earlier in 1987, which would have been prior to the Japanese release of the movie; however, no such submission is found in the US copyright records.
  • Based on the 1985 novel The Legend of the Capital (帝都物語 - Teito Monogatari) by Hiroshi Aramata.
