Following Ryuji Takayama's death, Mai Takano begins to look into what led to her boyfriend's demise. In her search, she begins to learn of Sadako's curse and its connection. She pieces together that the young girl, who died years ago, enacted revenge on those who viewed a VHS tape. That is unless they showed someone else the tape before she attacked. Unfortunately, her super natural powers appear to be growing, as she begins attacking survivors. What's more, Ryuji's son, Yoichi, begins to demonstrate super natural powers of his own. Feeling they are targeted by Sadako, it becomes a race against time to figure out what's happening before they are killed in the process...
