Background and Trivia
  • Set in an alternate continuity from the main anime series, and connected to Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! (2017).
  • The only animated theatrical Pokémon film not released in July in Japan, which was due to a delay in release dates caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • A special "Dada" version of Zarude was distributed to Pokémon Sword/Shield players in Japan who pre-ordered tickets for the movie, and was available between December 25th, 2020 and March 31st, 2021.
