| A Hong Kong based thieves guild known as The Works specializes in stealing the world's most valuable treasures. A variety of thieves make up the guild, including Arsene Lupin the 3rd, Fujiko Mine, Daisuke Jigen and more. The members are in constant competition, in a bid to outdo one another. In a heist in Singapore, thing turn ugly when one of the members, Michael Lee, resorts to threatening to kill Lupin and Fujiko. Forced against a wall, Lupin turns over the priceless medal he had stolen earlier. Later, at a meeting of The Works, the guild's leader showcases his most valuable possession. The item is the Crimson Heart of Cleopatra, a necklace commissioned by Mark Antony. Despite its value, the necklace of Cleopatra is missing a ruby that was said to complete the jewelry. The showcase is interrupted by Michael and an entourage who steal the necklace. Several guild members are killed in the process, including the group's leader. With The Works disbanded, Lupin, Fujiko and Jigen join forces to hunt down Michael and the stolen necklace. |
