Details
Throughout World War II, Takeichi Matsuo aided in hiding a huge payload of gold in the Philippine mountains during Japan's occupation of the country. Called Maru's Golden Fortune, the hidden treasure was known to only a few. With this knowledge at hand, and long after the war had ended, the Gunji brothers, Mitsura and Keigo, kidnap Matsuo to force him to lead the brothers to the hidden gold. Matsuo, meanwhile, had planned to give the gold to the greater Japanese populace in honor of the 500,000 Japanese who died in the area during the war... but not if the Gunji brothers can help it.
