  • Based on a 1986 novel of the same name by British author Diana Wynne Jones
  • The 2004 film was not just succesful at the box office, but also in regards to the music around the movie. The success translates into 40,000 units sold of the Image Symphonic Suite, 11,000 sold on the Howl's Moving Castle soundtrack and 30,000 units sold on The World's Promise single CD.
