Following the death of her husband, Sanae Soga is the sole inheritor of a million yen insurance policy. With no children of her own, Sanae decides to move back in with her mother. The household is already full, with Sanae's younger sister, brother, wife and their children there. To not intrude, Sanae willingly takes up the smallest room in the house and pays most of the rent. Friends try and match-make the recent widow, first with a wealthy older man. Things get complicated, though, when she goes on an errand with her brother to a vineyard. There she runs into Shingo Kuroki, heir to the business. Although a decade younger than Sanae, the two immediately fall for one another. Sadly, the Soga family runs into trouble: their uncle loses his business. As it turns out, the oldest brother mortgaged the home against the failed business without informing the rest of the family. Soon to be without their house, Sanae must choose between someone she loves and the wealthy older man who could give her and her mother a place to stay...
