After the events that led to a failed attempted to transport explosives to the wall, Eren is captured by the remaining human forces. He is interrogated as to his loyalty to the human race, after they witnessed him transform into a Titan. Unsatisfied with the answers, the order is given to kill the boy. However, an enormous Armored Titan appears and kidnaps Eren. As a result, his friends must devise a scheme to rescue him, and hopefully also find a way to protect the rest of the human race from the man-eating Titans...

• On November 24th, 2015, the movie was registered with the US copyright office under the registration number PA0001970574. The claim used the international English title, Attack on Titan Part 2, and a Romaji title of Shingeki No Kyojin Endo Obu Za Waarudo. A large number of companies were included with the registration, which were: Toho Co. Ltd., Kodansha Ltd., Dentsu Inc., Amuse Inc., East Japan Marketing & Communications Inc., KDDI Corporation, The Asahi Shimbun Company, GYAO Corporation, Tokyo FM Broadcasting Co. Ltd., Hakuhodo DY Media Partners, Yomiuri Shimbun and Nippon Shuppan Hanbai Inc. Rights and permissions on the claim were cited as belonging to Toho. Interestingly, the claim for the second movie in the series was submitted before Attack on Titan (2015).
