Billed as originating from a land that time forgot, the Rhinosaurus was Maximilian Speil’s star monster. Having numerous victories under its reign as champion of the mutant coliseum, its next opponent would be an appropriate heavyweight battle. After Godzilla was kidnapped and transported to the arena, the pair were pitted against one another as the evening’s main event. The rhino and Godzilla collided with hundreds watching. To make the battle more interesting and to get rid of some troublesome pests, Maximilian also sent Nick and Elsie into the battlefield. When Godzilla seemed to be too much for the horned monster, Max decided to even the odds and unleashed the Giant Water Beetle on both the atomic reptile and humans.
With Randy and Monique washing into the arena as well, the battle was on. However, the H.E.A.T. team managed to help their monstrous ally with splintered fragments of the rhino’s horn. Using them as spears, they gained the beetle’s attention, allowing Godzilla to focus solely on the rhino. In the chaos, the rhino accidentally rammed and launched its insect ally into the wall, removing it from the battle for the time being. Turning back to Godzilla, the rhino tried to overpower its nuclear foe. However, using his powerful tail, Godzilla slammed it into the side of its head and knocked it out cold. Whatever happened to the rhino-like behemoth following these events is a mystery. |
