After a volcanic eruption on Santa Marta released radioactive lava on the tropical island, the ecosystem was drastically mutated. Monstrous bees and vines now flourished. With nothing to oppose them, the Queen and her brood transformed the island’s most luxurious resort into a massive hive. However, outsiders were destined to stumble upon the site.
Disturbed from her slumber by H.E.A.T., she soon found herself faced with Godzilla and engaged him in combat. The two monsters battled across the island as its volcano began to erupt, eventually plummeting both warring titans into a deep crevasse that began to fill up with lava. Both creatures nearly fell into the liquid magma, but as the Queen Bee tried to escape into a tunnel in the wall of the crevasse, Godzilla blasted the tunnel opening with his atomic ray, causing it to collapse and bury the insect under thousands of tons of dirt and rock, and presumably lava as well. It was assumed the monstrous insect was slain, but it was not.
The queen found herself enslaved by the Leviathan aliens. Once the invaders amassed an army of mutated monsters, she was dispatched to help destroy humanity. She aided El Gusano in obliterating Moscow and engaged the Russian air force in a fierce dog fight. However, time was on the Earth’s side and H.E.A.T. was able to destroy the alien's monster control device on Site Omega. Freed of her bondage, the bee sought vengeance and began to attack the alien fleet. With her machine gun-like stingers, she brought down several fighters before being out maneuvered and shot down by the aliens, this time put down for good, being yet another casualty of this war of the worlds. |
