Description

In the 1950’s, numerous nuclear tests took place on the island of Santa Marta. Not a single soul could foresee the future consequences of the nuclear fallout. Now, almost a half century later, the radiation made a comeback in the form of radioactive lava released by the island’s volcano. The radiation caused drastic mutations, including a new species of sentient vines. While the island was quickly evacuated following the eruption, a trio of greedy looters saw this is as a perfect time to get rich.

Unfortunately for them, their plans were foiled when they reached the hotel. The vines came from the jungle like an army of angry anacondas. The men managed to escape with their lives and managed to get hold of the H.E.A.T. team. With their word and a special request from the hotel’s owners, the group agreed to investigate the island and found everything they heard was true, and then some.

The island wasn’t just infested with mutant vegetation, but also enlarged bees. While the vines managed to ensnare Randy and Nick, the arriving Godzilla caused the vines to focus on him. The nuclear lizard managed to blast and tear through the foliage, but there was simply too much. Soon, he was held down and overpowered by the sheer amount of vines. Thankfully, Nick acted quickly and modified Randy’s laser pointer in a sort of laser gun, allowing him to cut Godzilla free.

Escaping their grasp, Godzilla dove into the ground in an attempt to destroy the vines at their source. Sometime later, Godzilla burst from the ground in order to battle the nightmarish Queen Bee. When the battle led back into the jungle, the vines again attacked and tried holding Godzilla down. With surprising strength, Godzilla was able to free himself just as the volcano erupted again. This time, as Godzilla and the Queen battled in a tremendous crevice split open by the volcano, the mutant vines were finally eradicated.

Constricting vines

The Mutant Vines are capable of ensnaring prey and often restraining them in an attempt to smother them. When confronted by larger targets, such as Godzilla, the vines will wrap around one another to become larger and stronger, able to hold down the larger prey.
