Description

Another ploy of the Garogas was seemingly thwarted, but a two-headed nightmare quickly appeared to battle Hotaru. It tried stepping on him, but the so-called “Meteor Man” was able to hold its foot up. Then, it tried crushing him with a large boulder. Before it could drop the rock, the alien human transformed into Zone Fighter. The rock was knocked out of its hands and the battle was on immediately. Goram fired away with its double flamethrowers and pistols, but its weapons didn’t have any immediate affect on the superhero. However, it had a trump card up its sleeve. Housed within its body, numerous children had been taken hostage and turned into cells.

Just as Zone Fighter began to gain the upper hand, the children began to cry out and Zone Fighter was forced to relent. Soon his power began to run dry and the tides of battle changed. Zone Junior and Zone Angel flew in with Smokey in an attempt to recharge the hero, but the Garogas interfered and a dogfight began to erupt in the sky over the warring giants. Every passing second, Zone Fighter grew weaker until his family was able to outmaneuver the Garogas spaceship. They were successfully able to bestow new energy upon the champion. The hero quickly hit Goram’s head and severed it, freeing the children from the nightmarish prison. Now without any hostages, Goram was once again at Zone Fighter’s mercy. It tried firing again with its remaining flamethrower and both pistols, but Zone Fighter quickly retaliated with his Meteor Missile Might. His finishing technique totally outclassed the Terror-Beast’s firepower and brought it down, ending its life in a brilliant display of extraterrestrial violence.

Powers / Weapons
Dual flamethrowers

Dual flamethrowers

Within each of its sets of jaws, Goram is equipped with flamethrowers. The flames spat forth from each muzzle are capable of setting fire to numerous acres of land with a single sweep while the blaze was also able to cling to Zone Fighter for a short amount of time.

Pistols

Pistols

Strangely, the Terror-Beast is equipped with a dual set of pistols. It stores one on each side of its hips, just low enough to effectively reach and pull them out or shoot them quickly. The shots fired from each pistol acted much like a cannon, causing small explosions on whatever they hit and shooting large plumes of dirt upon hitting the ground.

Background and Trivia
  • According to Toho Special Effects: All Kaiju Illustrated Encyclopedia, its place of birth is said to be the Tokyo suburbs. While its subtitle is listed as being "Double-Headed Terror-Beast" (Japanese: 双頭恐獣), it is merely referred to as "Terror-Beast" (Japanese: 恐獣) during its entrance in the show.

Supplementary text mentions how the kidnapped children were stored in its right head, while its behavior was controlled by its left head.
