Description

One of Maximilian Speil’s most prized mutations, the Giant Water Beetle was unleashed on H.E.A.T. headquarters while his hired guns rendered Godzilla unconscious and transported him away from his lair. Tearing through the complex, the insect flooded it with toxic gas and drove the team outside. Just in the nick of time, Audrey ordered her news helicopter to intervene and help blow the clouds of gas out to sea, but the insect remained resilient in its determination to kill its human targets. However, as it rampaged about, a boat’s blaring horn gained its attention. Its mission to distract the team was a success and Godzilla was successfully captured. Turning back to the water, it began to return to its billionaire master.

During the main event of the mutant coliseum, Randy and Monique located the beetle’s lair in the compound’s water system. When Maximilian ordered the battle into a two-on-one handicap match, the beetle was unleashed alongside the Rhinosaurus to battle the King of the Monsters. Reunited with the entire team once Randy and Monique were washed into the arena, Godzilla was aided by his human allies. Due to its smaller stature, the beetle was far less of a threat to the King of the Monsters than the monstrous rhino beast. After it was accidentally flung aside by the rhino, the beetle was out of the match for a few moments, giving Godzilla time to finish his primary adversary.

When the beetle returned to the fight, Godzilla grabbed it in his jaws and threw it into Maximilian’s skybox. The insect crashed through the glass and concrete, seemingly dying upon impact but pinning the billionaire underneath it.
