Deciding to use Earth’s animals against the Zone Family, the Garogas infiltrated a zoo and brought with them a Garoga Spider, which had the ability to transform every animal into pawns for the Garoga. The family discovered this ploy and tried interfering, but it was too late. The arachnid was let loose and located a gorilla to use its venom on. It landed on the ape and bit it, sucking its blood and rapidly causing the animal to mutate. Its first mission accomplished, the spider flew off of its victim and landed a distance away in the middle of a pair of railroad tracks. While it had escaped the Zone Family, unbeknownst to the spider, an oncoming train sealed its fate, prematurely ending its frightening reign.

Flight
Despite having no wings, the Garoga Spider was capable of flight in which it was allowed to easily find its victims and land on them.
Mutating Blood-sucking ability
By drinking the blood of its prey through a single bite, the Garoga Spider causes rapid growth and mutation to its unfortunate target. It performed this feat on an escaped gorilla, transforming the ape into a kaiju-sized monstrosity.
Background and Trivia
In Toho Special Effects: All Kaiju Illustrated Encyclopedia, under its thumbnail, its name is accidentally spelled "Garopasupaida" (ガロパスパイダー) as opposed to "Garogasupaida" (ガロガスパイダー), though it is correctly named when mentioned in Garoga Gorilla's bio. It is also simply referred to as "Red Spider" (赤いクモ - Akai Kumo, or レッドスパイダー - Reddosupaida).
Despite being an arachnid, it shares no known connections to the monster Spider Uros.
Because its supposed death scene in front of an oncoming train cuts away early, the fate of the Garoga Spider is left somewhat ambiguous, though none of the Zone Family acknowledges the spider as a threat from that point onward.
Infiltrating a small zoo, the Garogas sought to transform ordinary animals into deranged monsters via their Garoga Spider. Only one animal fell victim to the plan: a gorilla. After being bitten by the arachnid, the ape began to mutate rapidly. It grew to tremendous size while becoming horribly scarred and covered in tumor-like growths. While the Zone Family battled the Garoga forces below, the ape moved in with orders to crush them. However, it was far weaker than normal Terror-Beasts. Two well-placed maser shots from Yoichiro Sakimori's weapon sent it crashing down, each laser aimed at the beast's eyes. Before it could recover, Zone Angel and Zone Junior fired their Meteor Proton Beams as well. The combined assault from all three Zone members was enough to end the mutated animal, its body exploding from the inside out and showering the area with bits and pieces of its flesh.

Despite being horribly mutated, the Garoga Gorilla displayed no special powers or attributes beyond its massive size. It did, however, possess enough strength in its physical strikes to shatter large boulders.
In the Japanese book All Kaiju Kaijin (First Volume) (ISBN: 4766909623), Garoga Gorilla is said to possess enough superhuman strength to crush a 400,000-ton tanker.
