Dragma ドラグマ

Created by Dr. Jonathan Insley to save the world from a mechanized Armageddon he feared was coming, the Dragmas were unleashed on an unexpecting world. The perfect killing machines, the beasts took humanity to the brink of extinction. In a desperate attempt to stop the monsters, Major Hicks let loose every mutation contained on Monster Island. However, not even the might of the monsters was a match for the flying devils. Godzilla, the King of the Monsters, even found himself swarmed and killed while allowing millions of people to escape during one of the great battles.

However, in 2022, the H.E.A.T. Team arrived from a time vortex in 2000. Quickly becoming wrapped up in the war, they began to understand how they could undo the damage and save the future. After encountering aged versions of Major Hicks and Dr. Craven, they saw firsthand the carnage the Dragmas were able to cause. They had to get back to the present and stop their creator, Dr. Insley, before he unleashed his creations.

Upon heading back to the storm that was capable of transferring them through time, one Dragma took chase. It nearly sunk the Heat Seeker before being struck by numerous lightning bolts. Its body was instantly caught aflame and sent falling into the churning water. At the same time, the group returned to their time. After locating the deranged scientist, they headed out to stop him before the Dragmas had a chance to mature.

Believing in a democratic resurgence against a global mechanized Armageddon, Dr. Jonathan Insley crafted the perfect killing machines that would free humanity from the clutches of technology. He hoped to unleash the beasts of the world and force the human race to embrace a simpler time. However, after the H.E.A.T. Team was transported twenty-two years into the future and engaged in a war with the fully-matured Dragmas, they knew they had to stop Dr. Insley upon their return. Tracking him down, they broke into his complex and ordered him to stop all work at once.

The mad scientist unleashed his premature Dragmas, but they were weaker and smaller than the ones H.E.A.T. already fought. When Godzilla broke into the complex to help his human allies, the infant Dragmas swarmed him. However, the King of the Monsters was too large and powerful for them to handle at their present state. With his atomic fire and H.E.A.T.’s laser weapons, the infantile Dragmas were slain long before they could mature into the apocalyptic harbingers of doom they would become in twenty years.
