On a small isle which acted as a satellite to Skull Island, a passenger vessel ran aground. Those humans who survived were then hunted down by a monstrous canine; a beast which could tear through steel and who then tore through them with ease. The humans perished one by one until a determined father managed to do the impossible and kill the beast, leaving only a small human girl to wander amidst the bodies – Annie.
Though to her shock, she wasn’t alone.
Lonely and distraught, a small pup of the monstrous killer befriended the last of the humans. Loss bonded them, lent them strength as years passed.
This isolation abrupted ended as new humans descended in search of the girl upon Annie’s Island. The small pup, now a ferocious beast like its parent and now possessing the nickname Dog, easily fought against the invading group; however, its friend had been taken. Annie was lost to him, but she could be found.
Tracking Annie across the ocean, Dog made its way to Skull Island. The humans which stole Annie were also there, and in short order, Dog eliminated those around his friend until she was safe and finally, free.
But to the creature’s annoyance, there were humans that he could not simply remove. Beside Annie, she possessed new friends, new possible threats that Dog warily watched and protected as the group crossed Skull Island.
When Dog sensed the human invaders, the remaining group which had attacked Annie’s Island, he joined his long-time friend in hunting them down. But unaware to the beast, this had been a trap, and as Annie fell unconscious from a dart, Dog was soon ensnared by a monstrous hawk and taken to the residence of the Island’s king – Kong.
Upon an alter the beast was dropped and there he remained until one of Annie’s new friends, Charlie, descended from the Hawk’s clutches. Reluctantly, Dog buried his anxiety and mistrust of the human as the creature realized, only by doing so would he have a chance to re-unite with Annie. With Charlie's assistance, Dog managed to escape the alter, fleeing as a whale crashed down upon the king's palace, filling the air with Kong’s audible rage.
With Charlie tagging along, Dog once again tracked down his friend. Beset by stark white gremlins amidst dawn-soaked grass, the beast tore through the killer Nightboys until he reached Annie, reuniting with her once again. But as the human invaders surrounded him, summoning rage and violence within the creature, a tentacled threat made itself known, forcing a truce among all parties.
The next day, Charlie devised a plan to lure Kong to combat the Kraken so that everyone could escape Skull Island. With Annie supporting the plan, Dog joined in without hesitation, racing to the ape’s palace and courting earth-quaking wrath.
Dog galloped across the island with Annie in tow, dodging trees and leaping over boulders at the cost of Charlie who was left behind amidst the chase. Kong’s strength was unparalleled, but his lumbering gait lacked agility to match the canine's speed, allowing Dog to reach the beach as the humans had planned.
A deafening roar ripped through the turbulent waves as Kong and the Kraken locked in a battle to the death. Waves leaped viciously, ensnaring Dog and Annie, stealing their breaths and gripping them under the chaotic tide. Unable to stay afloat, it was with Kong’s interreference the beast was saved and through his wrathful, victorious cry, Dog was placed under the surf once again.
His future, unclear. |
