Another terrible ploy of the Garoga invaders had been foiled by the Zone Family. As the aliens fled, the champions of justice took chase. Watching on from far above, the commanding officers dispatched another of their terrifying Terror-Beasts. Its capsule exploded in mid-air and Destro-King landed. It didn’t take long for Hikaru to transform and challenge the two-headed nightmare. The giants collided and Zone Fighter appeared to have the upper hand, using his superior fighting tactics and strength to keep the beast at bay, even attempting to break one of the Terror-Beast's necks. Unfortunately, Zone Fighter's power was limited and Destro-King was more durable than originally thought. It even survived the hero’s Meteor Missile Might completely unscathed. The tides of battle began to turn as Destro-King ravaged the silver warrior. With Zone Fighter's energy quickly exhausting, things began to look grim until Zone Angel and Zone Junior intervened. They took to the air, hitting one of Destro-King's necks with their own laser-like attacks. The head was completely blown off and its body sent crashing down, giving them enough time to bestow new energy to Zone Fighter. With renewed strength, Zone Fighter relentlessly attacked the weakened Terror-Beast. The physical attacks began to build and Destro-King's body soon gave way, exploding as death overcame it.
Powers / Weapons
Heat Rays
From each of its jaws, Destro-King is capable of launching 6,000 degree crimson Heat Rays. On their own, these beams are capable of generating moderately-sized explosions upon impact. But when combined on a single target, namely Zone Fighter, they appear to briefly encase the hero in a red field of energy, damaging and severely weakening him in the process. Destro-King's deadly Heat Rays can burn anything within a 40 kilometer radius around it.
Club-like heads
What Destro-King lacks in fists it makes up for with its sturdy golden craniums. Both heads can be used like clubs, battering against an opponent relentlessly. Zone Fighter gets caught in one such barrage before catching and stopping Destro-King's two heads and rolling away to safety.
Burrowing
The two-headed monster sports a giant golden drill at the base of its neck that can bore through the earth at 200 kilometers per hour.
Background and Trivia
According to Toho Special Effects: All Kaiju Illustrated Encyclopedia, its place of birth was on the planet Garoga Baron (ガロガバラン星 - Garogabaran Hoshi), the homeworld of the Garoga aliens. Its subtitle is also listed as being "Subterranean Terror-Beast" (地底恐獣 - Chitei Kyoju).
Appears in a very brief flashback sequence at the beginning of Episode 12 with several other Terror-Beasts that had seen defeat at the hands of Zone Fighter.
