As a plague of monstrous mutants threatened the globe, brilliant but deranged Cameron Winter saw this as an opportunity for personal gain. Developing the Cyber-Flies, he hoped to bring Godzilla under his control and use the nuclear monster to wage war on the world’s armies and profit on the rearming and development of anti-mutation weaponry. His plan, at first, seemed to succeed. His swarm of robotic flies attacked Godzilla, tranquilizing and implanting a control device within Godzilla’s head. H.E.A.T. intervened and was quickly drawn into the mad man’s conspiracy.
Randy began to understand what he was up to, but he lost the trust of his comrades at the same time. When the rest tried to stop Cameron, several flies moved in and delivered non-lethal taser-like electrical bolts to them. It seemed as if Cameron Winter’s vile plans were all going accordingly. At the same time, Godzilla was following orders and attacking humanity.
As rockets and tanks fired at the king of the mutated monsters, Randy hacked the controls of the remaining Cyber-Flies and used them to remove the control device from Godzilla. Freed from his bounds and confused at his current predicament, Godzilla instantly began to head back out to sea but several F-18s were en route and ready to kill the monster the same way the first Godzilla was killed prior. Seeing this, Randy ordered the flies to protect the reptile. Just as the jets fired, the Cyber-Flies flew in front of the warheads. The flies were instantly destroyed, but Cameron’s obsession with Godzilla and the H.E.A.T. team had only just begun. |
