As Tobias Wilson led H.E.A.T. to one of the luxury boxes in his "Mutant Mania" Circus, Mendel Craven had a close encounter with one of Wilson's mutants. The hidden monster unleashed a high-pitched shriek as its misshapen hand rose from beneath a draped gray sheet, claws narrowly missing Craven's face. Spooked, the scientist picked up the pace after the group, leaving the cloaked creature to its own devices once more.
