Description

Deep within a mysterious shrine, a secret egg lay hidden. It was said to contain a demon of great power, but what truly lied within was just as equally horrible. Gyaos, that ancient synthetic horror, had mutated within this enigmatic orb. This new monster would ultimately overflow with so much raw power, that the beast would have the potential to destroy the entire planet! It would eventually make all of the monsters of Earth's recent past appear meek in comparison, but its life started so innocently...

After Ayana Hirasaka lost her parents to the guardian monster Gamera in a freak accident, she vowed that she would exact her vengeance. One day, she discovered a small creature as she was walking to a shrine. The intriguing entity appeared as though it had no parents at all, so Ayana raised the young creature with a mother's love. "Iris" was the name she gave this odd little pet, in memory of her late cat, who was also inadvertently slain by Gamera. As time progressed, Iris attempted to do something extremely strange and upsetting; it attempted to merge with Ayana. Tatsunari Moribe managed to save the young girl before this terrible event could transpire, and Iris proceeded to take his leave after she was ushered away. The awful being began to victimize the populous, and it absorbed the life from whatever it could. Eventually, Iris grew into a monstrosity, the likes of which the world has never before seen...

Description

The demon of the shrine, the mutated Gyaos that fed on the vital fluids of humans with such revulsion, had finally mutated into its final form. It remained in the forest for some time, snatching those unfortunate enough to wander into its path. Its whereabouts were soon discovered; however, and the Japanese Self Defense force arrived to halt the horror of this despised demon. Their attempts were futile, and their losses were great. Iris took to the skies and began to fly toward Kyoto, where it planned to rendezvous with an old acquaintance...

As Iris approached the historic city, jet fighters were launched to intercept him. Their efforts would soon prove useless, as a much more formidable foe approached the crimson demon. A large object was spotted on radar, and it was soon discovered that this was the titanic terrapin of legend, Gamera.

Gamera entered the fray and brutally attacked Iris. The jagged juggernaut was able to ward off the heroic monster for the moment, as it descended into the city. Plasma fireballs were launched from the sky, but Iris was far from defenseless. The orbs of energy were merely repelled by its massive tentacles.

The two opposing forces stared each other down. Gamera bellowed as Iris cried out in hate. The towering tortoise charged his foe and pushed him backwards, but Iris countered and plunged his sickle-like appendage deep into the guardian's side. A howl of terrible pain shattered the night as Gamera endured the organic blade that plagued his resolve. Iris proceeded to slam the helpless hero into a train station. As Gamera's wound oozed with blood, Iris turned to his former caretaker, Ayana Hirasaka. The two beings merged, and in the endless void of Iris' dark essence, she learned the truth. Her deep-rooted animosity toward Gamera for the death of her parents was misplaced anger, for he was not responsible. Ayana's thirst for vengeance was lost, but there was nothing she could do now. She was trapped in the belly of a despicable beast...

Suddenly, Gamera slammed his hand straight into Iris and ripped Ayana from his abdominal region. An infuriated Iris impaled Gamera's hand into the wall of the train station. The heroic monster's life essence was being drained from his very body, and Iris' tentacles rose above him, prepared to fire the deadly plasma fireballs that Gamera himself often used. Desperate and cunning, Gamera destroyed his own hand to save himself. Iris fired the deadly energy blasts, but his enemy was not harmed. Instead, Gamera formed the plasma into a fist conjured of raw, blazing power! The fist plunged deep into Iris' stomach, and a powerful explosion signaled his ultimate defeat. Iris, that demonic Gyaos, was finally gone forever. His reign of terror was over...
