The Daitengu was one of the 48 demons that ravaged the body of the newly born Hyakkimaru, granting the demon human-like qualities. In terms of the powers, the creature not only had flight on its side but also tremendous strength, as it was able to lift boulders much larger than it was. Despite this, the creature preferred using human weapons, in particular swords. While confronting Hyakkimaru, the creature engaged mostly in sword play against him before attempting to crush him with boulders or drop him to his death. Eventually, thanks to Dororo distracting him with a large rock, the creature is slashed apart by Hyakkimaru.
