Herbivorous ceratopsids that thrive in the desert jungles of the New World, Apceros live in herds and appear to be content in being left undisturbed. During the trek to the Sky Tower, Artemis and the Hunter encountered these placated dinosaurs grazing and drinking from the riverside.
Later that night, the Apceros fell under attack by the fury of the greater Rathalos, setting the foliage ablaze with its flames. The frenzied and panicked creatures stampeded through the forest in an effort to flee from the wrathful wyvern, incidentally crushing all in their path. Artemis and the Hunter were separated and fended for themselves, but thanks to the intervention of the Hunter’s Guild, they avoided certain death. The Apceros, unfortunately, continued their stampede until they fell over a cliff, falling to certain death en masse. |
