Description

A divine messenger from the benevolent goddess Amaterasu, Amano Shiratori was the avatar for the gentle mother that patrolled over the mortal realm. Only ever seen but moments at a time, it was viewed as a symbol of peace and prosperity. Able to travel freely across space and time through cracks in reality, the metallic guardian could appear virtually anywhere it was called to.

When the evil wizard Tsukinowa dropped the infant Yamato prince Ousu over a cliffside, Amano Shiratori flew out of the fragmented reality and materialized into existence. Shimmering and beautiful, the silver phoenix flew past Tsukinowa with a burst of wind, blowing the wicked man away. Extending its talons, the white bird caught the basket that held the infant Ousu and returned him to the land of Yamato. Imprinting a golden enchantment circle, Amano Shiratori delivered the baby in front of the Ise Shrine and flew off into the night sky.

Amano ShiratoriPerhaps viewing from a distance, awaiting to intercede on behalf of Amaterasu, the white bird of heaven wouldn't reappear until the prince was a grown man. Tasked with dealing with the threat on the moon, the heroic duo Yamato Takeru and Oto Tachibana were overwhelmed by the magnificent power posed by Orochi. Yet before the deed could be done, Amano Shiratori flew through another crack in reality, manifesting onto the lunar battlefield. The heavenly white bird flew over Takeru and Oto, its chest adorned in divine light that teleported them onto its back. Taking the reins, Yamato Takeru steered Amaterasu’s messenger into battle, evading Orochi's blistering fire and slashing the behemoth with Susanoo’s sword. Unfortunately, one of Orochi’s flames struck the sacred avian, scorching it and knocking Takeru off its back. Oto took the helm and guided the white bird, employing the White Bird Mirror to halt the crimson serpent. As Takeru leapt atop the dragon’s prominent head, Amano Shiratori swooped in and caught him on its back. However, try as they might, they could not escape the searing flames of Orochi, and the avatar of the goddess exploded, flinging the Yamato warriors in the deep recesses of space.

As Yamato Takeru realized the true nature of the Three Lights, he began to harness their power to bring an end to Tsukuyomi’s terror. Merging with the Yamato warrior behind the dazzling spectacle, from Amano Shiratori birthed a new warrior that had long since been prophesied by the priestesses of the Ise Shrine.

After Utsuno Ikusagami brought an end to Orochi’s reign of terror, Amano Shiratori manifested in a physical form, carrying Yamato Takeru and Oto Tachibana on its back and landed where the battle-damaged Tsukuyomi laid. By order of Susanoo, Tsukuyomi was sealed and tossed into the depths of space, as Amano Shiratori guided the Yamato heroes home to the planet Earth to live out their lives.

Description

When Yamato Takeru harnessed the power of the Three Lights and merged with the great white bird of heaven, what took their place was a divine warrior, a champion of the gods. Composed of a highly durable yet lightweight metal body, the space war god illuminated in a sunburst of white light and touched down on the lunar surface. What lay before him was his first and greatest challenge yet: the incarnation of evil, Orochi. Shimmering and shining, Utsuno Ikusagami sparked with divine energy and displayed his holy wings, prepared to combat the devil snake.

As Orochi spewed gouts of flames at the armored samurai, Utsuno Ikusagami channeled his energy to divide the space and time in front of him, forging it into an otherworldly escutcheon that nullified the hellish fire. Orochi pressed on with its onslaught of flamethrowers, ever so pressuring the knightly god to uphold the barrier. In spite of its incredible feats, the radiant shield combusted and fell to the power of Orochi. The space war god charged in, surging with his sacred power and went toe to toe with the evil hydra. Even when he was entangled amongst Orochi’s heads, Ikusagami grabbed a hold of a serpentine neck and tore it off with awesome might. His body surged with substantial ki and unleashed a tremendous shockwave that threw Orochi aside.

Utsuno Ikusagami was ruthless in his assault, summoning his laser sword and activating his beam shield, which minimized and deflected the damage from Orochi’s magic lightning. Getting in close, Ikusagami severed four of the hydra’s heads in quick succession before taking to the empty skies of the moon. Light manifested in his hand as he threw an energy spear at the gigantic snake, then went in for one last swing. Slicing one more head off, Ikusagami mustered the divine power of Amaterasu and fired celestial energy from the sun medallion on his forehead, utterly destroying the body of the dragon in nothing short of a few quick shots.

Heralding victory over the dark lord’s monstrous form, Utsuno Ikusagami dematerialized into light, dividing and reconstituting back into Yamato Takeru, Oto Tachibana, and Amano Shiratori to finish the deed once and for all.

Powers / Weapons
Light Wings

Light Wings

Utsuno Ikusagami can materialize golden wings of light, a trait inherited from Amano Shiratori. They can absorb justice energy that exists in outer space via the red space energy absorbers aligned on the wings. These wings can also be retracted, twirling like a buzzsaw and causing minor damage to Orochi before vanishing.

The armored samurai uses its wings to lift off and take flight, even in the presence of space, and has a maximum speed of 1 million light-years.

Time-Space Sky Wave

Time-Space Sky Wave

Concentrating his energy, a ripple wave of space and time can be divided and molded into a powerful shield that nullifies attacks. To uphold it requires intense concentration, and he is momentarily unable to move when the Time-Space Sky Wave is first being employed. Although incredibly powerful, it did break down from the constant bombardment of Orochi’s flamethrowers.

Energy conduction

Energy conduction

The legendary warrior can concentrate ki and use it to magnify his attacks, indicated by his sparking touch and pillars of light. This ki can be channeled into his arms, ripping off one of Orochi’s heads with his heroic might.

Angry Explosion Flash

Angry Explosion Flash

Utsuno Ikusagami can generate tremendous amounts of ki into a devastating pulse, which is used to free himself from Orochi’s entangling heads. The incredibly high heat and shockwaves produced can melt solid rock in an instant, with enough force to toss Orochi away. Though powerful, the armored samurai cannot use this technique in rapid succession, as it drains a substantial amount of energy.

Laser Sword

Laser Sword

Manifesting from nothing, Utsuno Ikusagami can wield a larger version of the Sword of Snake Karasai, which can be encased with pure divine energy.

Beam shield

Beam shield

To defend himself against Orochi’s onslaught, the space war god is able to coat himself in an invisible beam shield to mitigate energy weapons and get in close, but can only sustain it temporarily. It originates from the defensive shield generator stored within the belt buckle around his waist, but his back periodically flashes a sky blue as a sign of its activation.

Shining energy spear

Shining energy spear

Using his left hand, the holy warrior is able to construct an energy spear and toss it at his opponent.

Devil-Crushing Amaterasu Light

Devil-Crushing Amaterasu Light

A godly beam weapon originating from the symbol of the sun on his forehead, it can purge the power of evil, destroying anything in its path. The Devil-Crushing Amaterasu Light is used to finally put an end to Orochi’s destructive ambitions in a cavalcade of explosive might. At maximum charge, it boasts the potential to destroy a planet.

This sacred power is derived from Yamato Takeru’s strong sense of justice, so if his heart isn’t resolute, the beam may accidentally destroy the world.
