AKIRA TAKARADA A hallmark of the Godzilla series, Akira Takarada got his first major break only a second year into his acting career by appearing in the original 1954 Godzilla. He appeared in five other Godzilla films, including those in the Showa, Heisei and Millennium films for the character.
