Really looking forward to this its right up my alley. In fact I'd love to see more slice of life films set in a world where giant monsters are simply a part of everyday life.
I saw on Wikizilla that the title's been changed to What To Do With The Dead Kaiju?

Okay. I need to update this again. This might take a few days--I'm swamped with personal projects, plus work and family stuff.

65 has my attention, but apparently it had to go through studio-mandated last minute reshoots and edits, so it'll probably end up as garbage.

While it wasn't as good as Rampage (wish there was sequel news on that) I thought The Meg was a fun film. Looking forward to see if the new one will be as fun.

If that secret Black Manta movie hadn't fallen through we'd have gotten two The Trench movies.

Gonna be nice to see kronosaurus on the big screen! :D

Now do an adaption to the Kronos Rising books dammit!

Though I'd settle for even a TV series on that as well.

Can we not? I legit had to block the author in every group I'm in with him because of how god damn obnoxious he is with his self-promoting and lame jokes.

That aside, looking forward to Meg 2. Loved the first one.

What to do with the dead kaiju came out, and it seems like its receiving mixed reviews. I'm still really interested in checking it out though, although I doubt it'll get a release in the west.

Friend of mine on Discord HATED it, so I'm definitely worried about it. He cited a lot of immature humor and generally bad development of the core idea as its biggest problems.

Immature humor comes as no surprise. Look at the poster, you know?

From what I'm told, its very akin to Return of Monster X, that Guilala sequel from about a decade ago. And that is not a good sign. God knows, I'm all for juvenile and toilet humor... When it's actually funny. Its my understanding the humor in this is something like out of those garbage spoof movies that came out during the craze of wannabe Scary Movie cash ins.

A theatrical release probably not, but DVD/Blu or streaming is probable I think.

Added in 4 minutes 48 seconds:
Although yeah, also worried about it now. Wanted another good Japanese kaiju film.

Toho's making another kaiju film, this time directed by Takashi Yamazaki (Third Street trilogy) and set in the 1940's.

Okay, I finally updated the first post. I'll do it again later today (include 65, updates on movies in pre-production, checking if more Chinese movies have come out, etc.).

It appears that martial arts actor and Chinese box office wonder Wu Jing (the Wolf Warrior films, the Battle of Lake Changjin movies) will now appear alongside Jason Statham in Meg 2. Sadly, very purty actress Li Bingbing will not be returning. Boo, sir! I say boo!

https://us.yahoo.com/news/china-box-off ... 36331.html

And what's with old threads in this section disappearing after the fourth page? I looked for the original MEG thread and couldn't find it.

The Lake is almost like The Host sequel I've been waiting for. Looks great.
