I got these 2 together at Toys R us back in 2008. My first 2 Godzilla figures:

This was the exact figure that I got.

I had an Imperial Godzilla that I thought was supposed to be the Godzilla Tower.

My first Godzilla related toy(s) were either the POD set or the complete 2nd wave of Bandai Creations figure line. Sadly, the Mechagodzilla is now gone. But I still have Ghidorah 01, Goji 01, and Spacegoji.

I wish I did. Those models long since succumbed to my mothers obsessive compulsive dusting and the periodic shelf dive. Plus they were used more as Action Figures before we knew the term. In hindsight they were both horrid sculpts of their subjects. But we still loved them. Weird glowy parts and all.

It's funny; I wasn't born during the era of these kits, but my dad was, and when they reissued them in the 90s/2000s, he introduced me to all of them. Godzilla and Ghidorah I've still got, but Rodan took a shelf dive and Kong was the victim of a foam football that some friends and I were tossing in the house.

My very first was a Popy Godzilla my mom bought me at a discount store. I remember taking it to Coney Island beach and I lost it in the ocean. But a week later we visited the same spot and my brother accidently dug it up in the sand in attempt to recreate the sand pit in Return of the Jedi. I was so happy and the tail intact because it seemed to popped off often and was a bitch to put it back in. This was before I knew about the hair dryer trick.

I hear a distant rumbling... What's that?! It's coming from under the ground!

Oh, God! It's Baragon with Pink undertones! Can't you hear its terrifying cry?!

Remember when I posted on the display your collection thread and I said I had some weird godzilla toy from the 70s or 80s, well turns out it was my first toy of him, and the one that started it all.
I still have him too. He's on my shelf right now. Looking at me. Looking at me with those yellow eyes........
This is the beginning of the end.

Imperial 6" baby. I was 6 or 7 when my mom brought it home from Arizona when she went to visit her folks. It was 1984 I believe. At first I thought it was just another dinosaur, then I saw the spines. Started my Godzilla craze. I also had the ugly-ass Shogun Godzilla, but I don't know what happened to him. Then it was the 12" Imperial, then some miscellaneous stuff in the early 2000's, and then June of last year I started going on a frenzy, getting a bunch of Monsterarts and Pacific Rim. Minus Shogun, I still have all my Godzilla stuff. I was always obnoxiously careful with most of my toys as a kid.

I had one of those awhile back too! My classmate stole it and I had to strategically steal it back before the day ended.

A year or two later it wouldn't matter though, because I'd get the Japanese version at a comic book store and basically replaced it with that because it looked cooler. I still have that one in a box of other action figures/stuff somewhere.

This guy. I loved it so much. Then I got the X Plus Gamera 1996 and made them fight all the time. Sadly my parents broke them when I was a kid. Now I have the Sh Monsterarts of Special Color version and 1996 Gamera to bring back the memories...

BC's newer '54 model, for me. I can't say he's a great representation of the design, but that figure holds a special place for me anyway.

Not my own photo, but these guys:

I also had the king kong at some point. I friggin LOVED those figures... That is, until the Trendmasters stuff came out. You can imagine the excitement of a 4-year-old kid that has a roaring, glowing, Godzilla.

Also, did anyone else also get that 4-foot inflatable Godzilla, as a kid?
