Can the ruler of Skull Island take on a different menace from deep beneath the surface? I'm leaning Kong based on his combat prowess.

If the scorpion manages to sting him, maybe the arthropod has a chance...otherwise, I'm leaning towards Kong.

While Kong is fast and has experience, he may not be able to win against the Scorpion. The Scorpion has only one weak spot, so that exoskeleton is going to be hard to handle with trees and anchors. In order to get close enough to attack, Kong will be put in range of the tail, so he could get stung. If Kong can disable that tail, then he will win. If he gets stung, then the big gorilla is dead.

Scorp just needs to hit Kong one time with the stinger and he'll seize up like small mice do with venomous snakes.

Anyway, the scorpion didn't seem at all affected by taking the full weight of a speeding train and ripping it off the tracks. That means it'll be able to endure Kong's blows fairly well.
